Hugh Howey novel of the same name, Beacon 23 is a science-fiction series that narrates the story of a man living in a remote space 'lighthouse' that serves as a beacon for passing ships. Though Beacon 23 is a short book of only 256 pages, it provided ample content for season 1. However, it is not enough to ensure that Beacon 23 season 2 does not stray from the original story. This creative liberty opened doors for its second season.
Beacon 23 Season 1 got mixed reviews, it received a 60% critical approval on Rotten Tomatoes and a 56% audience score. It is clear that the audiences did not like it much, so it has expanded in Season 2, which could expect the series to improve itself.
The one-minute-trailer for 'Beacon 23 Season 2' shows the return of several key characters from the first season of Beacon 23, including James’s Halan Kai Nelson. Nelson wants to come out of the lighthouse as he feels entrapped in the beacon and says that he can not stay there.

The trailer released by MGM+ also indicates the higher stakes in the sophomore season and mentions that Beacon 23 is under military attack. In addition to teasing parts of Beacon 23 season 2’s plot.
