Other key sectors that contributed to this positive trend included oil & gas (+18%), pharma/biotech (+12%), FMCG (+8%) and IT (+6%).
According to Naukri, hiring in the IT sector showed positive growth in four out of the seven months this fiscal.
“We are now experiencing sustained YoY growth, with Jobspeak revealing consistently positive trends over the past few months. We are particularly thrilled to see synchronised expansion across IT and non-IT sectors,” Pawan Goyal, chief business officer at Naukri, said in a statement.
Within the AI/ML sector, machine learning engineer roles saw a remarkable 75% year-on-year growth. IT unicorns showed strong performance with a 28% increase in white collar hiring and foreign MNCs and global capability centres (GCCs) in the IT sector showed an impressive jump of 5% and 10% respectively.
