Sachin Meena and Pakistan's Seema Haidar is making the headlines: A 35-year-old married woman from Alwar, Rajasthan, has gone to Pakistan to meet her Facebook friend. Arvind Kumar, the husband of Anju, who travelled to Pakistan, told news agency ANI that before leaving home, Anju told him that she was going to visit one of her friends in Jaipur. «I got a voice call last night, she said that I am in Lahore.
I have no idea why has she gone to Lahore and how did she manage to get the visa and other stuff. She informed me that she will return within 2-3 days,» Anju's husband said. A top police official told ANI said that prima facie it looks like a matter of love affair but nothing concrete can be said as of now.
«Anju was in touch with a Pakistan-based man for 2-3 years through Facebook, and WhatsApp. She crossed over to Pakistan on 21st July. All angles will be investigated if necessary,» the police official said.
Anju worked as a data-entry operator in a private company in Bhiwadi, Alwar, and the couple stayed in a rented accommodation in the town. Anju's husband told Times of India that she got her passport three years ago and said that she needed it to explore chances in other countries for work… The report said that she could have crossed the Wagah border in Punjab and was granted visa on May 4 this year. Pakistan's media outlet ARY News in a report said that Anju has reached reached Upper Dir – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to meet her 29-year-old Facebook friend Nasrullah, a medical professional, and is staying at his home.
