While various names were circulating in the days following BJP's landslide victory in the national capital after nearly three decades, is Rekha Gupta, a seasoned BJP leader and one of the four elected women MLAs from the party in the latest elections, had consistently remainded a prominent name.
Rekha Gupta emerged victorious from the Shalimar Bagh constituency, defeating the Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) Bandana Kumari by a significant margin of 29,595 votes. A graduate professional with assets totaling Rs 5.3 crore and liabilities of Rs 1.2 crore, Gupta has established herself as a strong and effective leader.
A prominent figure within the BJP, Gupta currently serves as the national vice president of the BJP Mahila Morcha and has a long track record of public service. She has previously held positions such as General Secretary of the BJP’s Delhi state unit and has been a member of the party’s National Executive. Her leadership extends to her work in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), where she served as a councillor. Gupta's focus has
