Quant Mutual Fund (MF) has announced the appointment of Shashi Kataria as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective from July 1. Kataria replaces Harshal Patel, who resigned from the fund house due to personal reasons.
The fund house posted on social media platform X that Harshal Patel tendered his resignation on February 19, with his last day of service being May 19. Shashi Kataria joined the fund house on June 10.
«Shashi Kataria joined us on 10th June, 2024 and the Board Meeting was convened on 1st July 2024, and was appointed as Chief Financial Officer, Operations Head and Executive Director of Quant Money Managers Limited,» it said on social media platform X.

Kataria is a Commerce graduate from Mumbai University and a fellow member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
He holds around 20 years of total experience in Accounting, Audit, Direct and Indirect Taxation, Financials and MIS, Payroll, and Labour Law compliance. Of these, 13 years were spent in the Indian Mutual Fund industry, managing TER for scheme-related expenses, Accounts, Consolidated Financials, Income Tax Scrutiny, Payroll, and Labour Law Compliances.
Kataria was also associated with PPFAS Asset Management Private Limited as CFO, COO & Director. Previously, he worked with DSP Blackrock Investment Managers as Manager of Finance.
He has also worked in various companies including Cargotec India, Redbull India, UTV
