Donald Trump's former attorney and current top advisor, Alina Habba, Ric Grenell, Special Presidential Envoy for Special Missions, Patel's parents, who travelled from India for the hearing, and the nominee's sister were among the supporters.
However, a mystery woman who has since been identified as Patel's girlfriend, country music artist Alexis Wilkins, was also seated behind him in the show of support.
How did they meet?
Kash Patel met Wilkins at a conservative ReAwaken America event in October 2022. In January 2023, a few months later, they began dating, as quoted in a report by The Mail Online.
During his confirmation hearing on Thursday, internet searches regarding whether Patel was single skyrocketed, much to the dismay of MAGA internet users.
