On September 24, SEVENTEEN unveiled a series of teasers as part of their «SVT RIGHT HERE» promotional campaign.
These teasers featured various picturesque cities, including Paris and New York, with a unique touch — hundreds of balloon chamomile flowers adorned iconic locations like Times Square and the Eiffel Tower. The teaser also incorporated these balloons into the album art.
While the first two teasers were well-received, the third teaser set in Beijing, featuring the Great Wall of China, sparked controversy.
Many Chinese fans expressed concerns that the teaser was disrespectful. In response to these valid concerns, SEVENTEEN's team promptly removed the Beijing teaser from all their social media platforms.
PLEDIS Entertainment's Apology
Addressing the situation, PLEDIS Entertainment, SEVENTEEN's management agency, issued an apology on September 24.
