'Echo' was assumed to be a single-season show when it was first announced. After all of its five episodes were released on the streaming services on Tuesday, January 9 at 9 p.m. ET., there has been no word on its continuation. In this backdrop, the Director of Photography said on whether Season 2 is in the works for Alaqua Cox’s Maya Lopez. Talking to 'Direct', Echo cinematographer Kira Kelly shared her thoughts on a possible Season 2 and working with the characters from Netflix’s Daredevil.
Kelly admitted she was «not sure» if Season 2 would be a good choice for Alaqua Cox’s next step as the character. She said, «I'm not sure about that. I feel like the world—You know, anything that we can see Alaqua [Cox] would be amazing. Whether it's another season for her or whether or not she's in the 'Daredevil' show coming up or any other show. I would just love any excuse to see Alaqua perform again.»

'Loki' is the only series to have returned for a second season. If other shows also make a return, 'Echo' may not be at the top of the list. Instead, 'Moon Knight', 'Ms. Marvel', or 'Hawkeye' may be continued. 'Echo' may crossover to 'Daredevil: Born Again' when that is finally aired.
