The lyrics of «Red Button,» which was made available on Thursday night along with Drake's new album «Scary Hours 3,» read, «Taylor Swift the only n— that I ever rated/ I could only let go of the record a little bit later because of one.
Drake and Swift are the biggest names in the music industry who usually compete for the top spot on the charts when they release new songs at the same time.
This occurred a year ago on October 21, when Swift's „Midnights“ was released. The release date of Drake and 21 Savage's collaborative album „Her Loss“ was originally set for October 28, however, it was ultimately moved to November 4.
Drake and Swift are still friends in spite of their healthy competition. Also in an April 2022 Instagram post, the rapper posted a picture of himself with his arms around the pop singer.
Later in „Red Button,“ Drake refers to his on-again, off-again thing with Kanye West, perhaps indicating that it's back on.
Drake and West famously collaborated in 2021 in Los Angeles for the „Free Larry Hoover“ benefit concert, which raised awareness and support for Hoover, who was convicted of murder and is presently serving six life sentences.
