WrestleMania 40 is nearing and WWE fans are curious to know whether 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin will make an appearance in the grandest stage or not. The rise in speculations were seen especially after the return of 'The Rock' Dwayne Johnson.
So far there has been no official word from either WWE or 59-year-old «Texas Rattlesnake», as per dexerto report. Fans will be hoping that just like The Rock, they will be able to witness one of the top superstars of the attitude era in the ring.
Recent weeks have been consequential and tumultuous in WWE's history. It began with the announcement that Netflix would pay $5 billion over the next decade for exclusive rights to WWE's flagship weekly show, 'Raw', and that Dwayne Johnson, one of WWE's most famous wrestlers — known in the ring as «The Rock» — would join the board of directors of its parent company, TKO Group.
Then, a former WWE employee, Janel Grant, sued Vince McMahon — the co-founder of what would become WWE and the executive chair of the board of TKO Group — and accused him of sexual assault and sex trafficking. WWE was named as a defendant in the lawsuit, which also accuses unnamed WWE corporate officers of knowing about her claims against McMahon. McMahon called the lawsuit, which was filed in US District Court in Connecticut, a «vindictive distortion of the truth,» but resigned from the TKO board Friday.
