Stephen Colbert is not one to shy away from criticism, especially when it comes from former President Donald Trump. In a recent episode of The Late Show, Colbert took aim at Trump's characterization of him as «very boring.» This remark originated from a post Trump made on Truth Social, where he commented on an interview Colbert had conducted on PBS.
Colbert addressed the controversy during the September 25 broadcast, expressing surprise and a bit of amusement at the ex-president's keen interest in his show, as per a report by TV Insider.
On September 24, Trump, using his social media platform, derided Colbert, saying, “[I] found it fascinating for only one reason—Why would they be wasting time and the public’s money on this complete and total loser?”

He went on to declare that Colbert is «not funny» and is, in fact, «VERY BORING.» Trump's comments came after viewing an interview where Colbert and his wife, Evie, discussed their relationship and their new cookbook during PBS NewsHour.
