Jagan Mohan Reddy's close associate and the party's parliamentary party leader Vijayasai Reddy on Friday announced that he would resign from the Rajya Sabha, third one to do so after the party lost assembly polls in Andhra Pradesh last year.

Prior to him two other YSRCP MPs — Mopidevi Venkataramana and Beeda Mastan Rao resigned from the upper house in August year making way for TDP to open its account in the upper house.
Both these MPs switched to TDP, and Beeda Mastan Rao was renominated to the Rajya Sabha by AP's ruling party.
However, Vijaysai Reddy in a post on social media platform on X made it clear that he would step away from active politics and stated that his future endeavours would focus on agriculture.
Reddy worked as financial advisor to the YS family and was also among the main accused in the corruption cases involving former Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy.
