What led to the tense meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy?
The meeting was initially set to finalize a minerals trade agreement between the U.S. and Ukraine, a deal crucial for Ukraine’s economy and defense against Russian aggression. However, tensions quickly escalated when Trump accused Zelenskyy of being ungrateful for U.S. support.
«You’re gambling with World War III, and what you’re doing is very disrespectful to this country,» Trump reportedly told Zelenskyy. Vice President JD Vance also joined in, criticizing the Ukrainian leader for addressing sensitive matters in front of the American media.
Why did Trump kick Zelenskyy out of the white house?
As the discussion became more heated, Trump abruptly ended the meeting, canceling the planned joint press conference and minerals deal signing. According to Fox News, Zelenskyy «begged to stay and work this out,» but Trump was unwilling to continue the conversation. White House staffers later consumed the lunch that was originally meant for the Ukrainian delegation.
Following the incident, Trump took to Truth Social to express his frustration, stating that Zelenskyy was «disrespectful» and «not ready for peace.» Trump added, «He can come back when he is ready for peace.»

We’ve already started this transition, and we plan to do more of it this fiscal.”Beyond mobile phones and laptops, EMS firms are expanding into smart metres for electricity boards, aerospace and defence subsystems, railway safety instrumentation, printed circuit boards and display assemblies, and medical devices deployed in hospitals.India’s annual mobile phone shipments have remained subdued since the covid-19 pandemic, with industry estimates pointing to a single-digit decline this calendar year from 152 million smartphones shipped last year.The margin pressure driving this shift is increasingly visible.In FY26, Syrma SGS reported an operating margin of 7.1%, up 2.3 percentage points.
