Hyderabad received the wrong food order from Zomato and was bizarrely told to «please have it» when she complained. The situation arose when Ananya, a resident of Hyderabad, placed an order for chicken manchurian through Zomato, but the restaurant mistakenly sent her chicken 65 instead.
Upon noticing the mix-up, Ananya reported the issue to Zomato and managed to reach out to a customer support agent—no small feat, as many users have found it increasingly difficult to bypass Zomato’s AI chatbot, Zia, for direct assistance. Despite her efforts, the representative, Syeda, could not resolve the problem and simply advised Ananya to accept and eat the incorrect dish.
Ananya shared a screenshot of her conversation with the Zomato agent on X (formerly Twitter), where she had written, «I ordered chicken manchurian, not chicken 65.»
After a five-minute pause, the customer support agent responded with, «We request you to please have it… we are sure you will love it.»
Sharing the screenshot on X, Ananya captioned it, «Average Zomato experience.» Amused by the exchange, other X users chimed in with their own stories of frustrating customer service encounters.
