GreenCell Mobility and VE Commercial Vehicles on Friday said they have entered into an agreement for supply of 1,000 electric buses in the next five years. The two parties have signed a memorandum of understanding, which envisages VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) supplying 1,000 Eicher electric buses to GreenCell's intercity bus business, NueGo, the two companies said in a joint statement. Russia have agreed to train Indian seafarers in the polar and Arctic waters. The decision was arrived at during talks to widen maritime cooperation in the Russian Pacific port city of Vladivostok on Wednesday. The talks also focussed on the use of new transport corridors such as the Northern Sea Route via the Arctic (Vladivostok-Chennai route). Discussions on India-Russia maritime cooperation gained momentum when ports, shipping and waterways minister Sarbananda Sonowal met Russian minister for development of the Far East and Arctic A O Chekunkov in Vladivostok on Wednesday.

IndusInd Bank on Wednesday informed the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) that it has reached a settlement with Coffee Day Global and has withdrawn the insolvency petition against the company. A lawyer who is part of the deal said on the condition of anonymity that the debt in question was sold to ASREC (India) Ltd, an asset reconstruction company. A joint settlement application has also been filed by the two in the matter.

Coffee Day Global, its lender IndusInd Bank has decided to withdraw its insolvency resolution application against the company after the private sector lender assigned its loans to ASREC (India), an asset reconstruction company (ARC). The Chennai bench of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) on Wednesday allowed the withdrawal of Coffee Day’s appeal in its oral order after both sides informed that they are settling the matter.
