Another candidate, Vijay M, said: «I have been appearing for interviews since June last year. I deferred my admission five times. Finally, my visa has been approved now and I will be travelling next week.» Vijay too appeared for his last interview from Chennai. US student visas grew by the largest annual margin seen in over a decade, in line to becoming the highest single-year total of F-1 visas since 2016.

Foxconn to invest $600 million in Karnataka for iPhone component and semiconductor facilities
Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn) has signed up with the Karnataka government, offering to invest about $600 million, or nearly Rs 5,000 crore, in two iPhone component manufacturing projects, expected to create nearly 13,000 jobs. Freshworks on Tuesday reported a 19% rise in its revenues to $145.1 million for quarter ending in June, and raised its full-year financial forecast for 2023 midpoint saying it will hit adjusted operating profit of $28 million. The Chennai and San Mateo, California-headquartered company said its net loss shrank to $35.66 million, or 12 cents per share, in the first quarter ended June 2023, from $69.75 million, or 24 cents per share, a year earlier. The company had raised its full-year 2023 financial forecast to an adjusted operating profit of $5 million in the previous quarter ended March 31, 2023.
