Delhi flood updates: Delhi on Saturday only got a momentary relief when Yamuna river waters were noted receding after flooding the national capital. However, later in the day heavy rains lashed the national capital threatening a further surge in the Ganga basin river's water level that has been flowing well over the danger mark since the past week.  In the midst of an ongoing crisis situation that demanded the help of the National Disaster response Force (NDRF) and the Indian Army, the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and the Congress indulged ina political mud slinging over the infrastructural development of the national capital Delhi.  The road stretches that still remain shut for movement, include Ring Road - Majnu Ka Tilla ISBT - Shanti Van - IP flyover to IP Depot both carriageways, Ring Road - IP Depot to IP flyover to ISBT carriageway, Salim Garh bypass, Old Iron Bridge Pusta to Shamshan Ghat, Outer Ring Road - Mukarba Chowk to Wazirabad carriageway and Ring Road from Shanti Van to Rajghat and towards ISBT.

Hindustan Times informed in an exclusive report that the scuffle erupted over the basic rules onboard aircraft and the aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) was informed about the incident. “The airline’s head of the inflight services department, Sandeep Verma, who was flying from Sydney to Delhi on AI 301 was hit by a Delhi-based passenger. However, no action was taken against him," an official close to the matter told HT.

Maharashtra Sadan scam: Court directs ED to file its say in the case
Bhujbal, son of recently appointed Maharashtra cabinet Minister, Chhagan Bhujbal. Bhujbal along with other accused persons is seeking the dropping of proceedings against him in Rs 850 crores Maharashtra Sadan scam. The ED had sought an adjournment to argue on the applications filed by various accused persons who have been contending that money laundering case against them cannot continue as they had been discharged in the FIRs registered against them on the basis of which the ED registered a money laundering case. The said case has been registered against the incumbent food and civil supplies minister Chhagan Bhujbal, his son, nephew, Sameer and various other accused persons on the basis of investigation directed by the Bombay High Court in a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the year 2015 on the basis of which three separate FIRs was registered and subsequently on that basis a money laundering case was registered. Bhujbal is one of the NCP leaders who joined the Ajit Pawar camp to be part of the ruling BJP-Sena ( Eknath Shinde camp) party. Pawar recently rebelled with his uncle and NCP patriarch Sharad Pawar to join the BJP led government in Maharashtra.

Target FIVE Waters BURST Mumbai Mumbai police issues prohibitory order banning drones, gliders & unlawful gathering of five or more persons
Mumbai police on Saturday issued a preventive order banning the flying of drones, remote controlled micro light aircraft, paragliders, para motors, hand gliders and hot air balloons over the metropolis for a period of 30 days, an official said. The prohibitory order, which he said was a «regular» one, was in view of the possibility of misuse of such objects to target VVIPS, endanger life of public at large, destroy public property and cause law and order disturbance. The order also bans unlawful assemblies of five or more persons due to information gathered from various sources about the likelihood of breach of peace and disturbance to public tranquility from such gatherings, the official added. The prohibitory order covers processions, use of loudspeakers and other sound amplifying systems, musical bands and bursting of firecrackers, he said. However, marriage and funeral functions, statutory meeting of companies, clubs, and assemblies in and around cinemas, halls, schools etc are exempt, the official pointed out.
