MUMBAI : A clutch of companies that eroded billions in shareholder wealth since their public listing has seen an exodus of retail shareholders, a Mint analysis of exchange data showed. At least 2.2 million retail shareholders, 73 large foreign institutional investors (FIIs), and 22 mutual funds sold shares of 12 large companies, including Nykaa (FSN E-Commerce Ventures Ltd), Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India and Paytm (One 97 Communications Ltd), since their initial public offerings.

BoB to auction Sunny Deol’s Juhu property to recover ₹56 cr
Bank of Baroda (BoB) has decided to auction actor Sunny Deol’s property in Juhu to recover ₹56 crore. In an auction notice put out in newspapers, a week after the release of the actor’s movie Gadar 2, the bank has named Ajay Singh Deol, alias Sunny Deol—a member of parliament—the borrower and guarantor, along with brother Bobby and father Dharmendra as guarantors. The bank has set 25 September as the date for the e-auction, bids for which have to be submitted by 5 pm on 22 September.

Adani to invest ₹2,000 crore to build 2 transmission lines in Mumbai for green energy
₹1,700 crore debt from international lenders for the projects being executed by its parent Adani Transmission. "We will be investing more than ₹2,000 crore for this, of which ₹1,700 crore will be debt-funded," the official said, adding the project also includes setting up a 400-kV substation which will raise the transmission capacity by 1,500 mw, as the company expects the peak demand for the megapolis to cross 5,000 mw mark by FY25 from around 4,000 mw now.
