In the inaugural segment of the awards night at the Grand Felicitation Ceremony held in Mumbai on August 4 — which marked the culmination of the six-month-long ETPrime Women Leadership Awards (ETPWLA) 2023 programme — jury member and Managing Partner, Blume Ventures, Karthik Reddy felicitated Pratibha Priyadarshini, VP and Head of HR, Shell India, as the winner in the HR Leader of the Year award category. However, the truth is out now. Deol's sprawling Mumbai property at Juhu’s Gandhigram road, named Sunny Villa, was slated for auction by the Bank of Baroda in a bid to get back a substantial loan amount of Rs 55.99 crore given to the actor. The minimum bid amount for 'Sunny Villa' was set at Rs 5.14 crore. The bank even put out an ad in the newspaper saying they'll sell the house on September 25. Following this a media report came out claiming that Kumar has stepped forward to help Deol with his loan repayment and allegedly offered to pay a 'huge chunk' of the loan for Sunny. In return, Deol would pay him back later.

New Delhi: Denmark-based logistic firm A P Moller-Maersk on Monday said it is expanding its fleet of electric vehicles to over 500 for deployment across 26 cities covering first, middle and last-mile distribution for one of the top e-commerce platforms in India. The expansion ties with Maersk’s ambition to become net zero across businesses and provide customers with 100% green solutions by 2040, it said.

Nashik district to protest against the Centre's decision to impose a 40 per cent duty on the export of the kitchen staple. In view of the decision, the onion auctions remained closed at most of the APMCs in the district on Monday, including at Lasalgaon, the largest wholesale onion market in India, sources said. Traders claimed the central government's decision to impose 40 per cent duty on the export of onions till December 31, 2023 will adversely affect the onion growers and its export.

HDFC Bank Ltd. wants to use home lending as a gateway for the world’s sixth-largest lender to capture more consumer finance customers with loans on everything from air conditioners to cars and TVs. The Mumbai-based bank is converting about 530 offices that previously specialized in mortgages into ones with fully-fledged banking services in the coming months, said Kaizad Bharucha.

MUMBAI : Bulk share sales have hit a record $11 billion during FY24 so far, as promoters and large public investors cashed in on a buoyant equity market fuelled by nimble earnings growth. A Mint analysis showed that key stakeholders, including promoters, have sold shares worth over ₹1.35 trillion through bulk and block deals during the calendar year so far, out of which deals worth over ₹92,800 crore were concluded in the first five months of FY24, which is more than double that of the same period last year.
