Sharad Pawar, who heads the NCP (SP), on Saturday declared MP Supriya Sule as their candidate from Maharashtra's Baramati Lok Sabha seat, amid speculation that Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's wife Sunetra Pawar could be fielded from there. The octogenarian leader made the announcement during a rally organised by the opposition bloc Maha Vikas Aghadi in Bhor tehsil of Pune district. Office space demand in India's six major cities will remain healthy this year as domestic and foreign firms are expected to lease 50-55 million square feet area to expand their businesses, according to a FICCI-Colliers report. Gross leasing of office space stood at 58.2 million square feet across six major cities namely Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune. Industry body FICCI and real estate consultant Colliers India earlier this week released its report 'India Office: Repurposed to scale-up'. With the support of the Dagger Division, Burhan underwent an initial evaluation at Government Medical College, Baramulla, on December 22, 2023. CBI) has conducted raids across 62 locations in Rajasthan and Maharashtra in connection with the suspicious IMPS transactions worth Rs 820 crore reported at UCO Bank. On March 6, the CBI raided ‘extensive search operations’ in Rajasthan (including Jodhpur, Jaipur, Jalore, Nagaur, Barmer, Phalodi) and Pune (Maharashtra). “During these operations, approximately 130 incriminating documents related to UCO Bank and IDFC, as well as 43 digital devices (including 40 mobile phones, 2 hard disks, and 1 internet dongle) were seized for forensic analysis,” the CBI said in a press release. Further, it examined 30 suspects on the spot.

Haier is «buoyant» about the fast-growing Indian market where it aims to become the second largest player in the next five years, with increased investments in manufacturing and product portfolio expansion, the company's India President N Satish said on Wednesday. Haier Appliances India, a part of the Chinese multinational Haier Group, is investing around Rs 800 crore on capacity expansion here this year, and has also lined up future expansion plans, he said. The company is also increasing indigenisation, which is a key «thrust area» for the company, where it expects local souring to contribute up to 80 per cent across products in next two years. Haier India is also increasing exports from its Indian operations to other countries and is scouting for new markets in the Middle East and African countries, besides expanding its retail business in the domestic markets.

NEW DELHI : The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Wednesday granted air operator’s certificate to Goa-based Just Udo Aviation Pvt Ltd to operate its airline Fly91. The grant of the air operator certificate marks the completion of all regulatory and compliance requirements for the airline to begin its commercial operations, the airline said in a statement. "We now look forward to commencing the sale of tickets leading to the start of commercial operations soon," managing director and chief executive officer of Fly91, Manoj Chacko said.
