Kejriwal claimed 'BJP goons' assaulted him during the event. He questioned whether the BJP intended to «kill him» and challenged them to contest elections against him. Kejriwal addressed a gathering in Delhi, saying, «Do you want to kill me? If you have the courage, contest elections against me.» He stressed that he has no desire for power and is more concerned about the development work in Delhi. Accompanying Kejriwal, AAP MP Sanjay Singh stated that Delhi's citizens would «take revenge for this insult» in the upcoming elections, accusing BJP of being nervous about their electoral prospects in Delhi.

Aam Aadmi Party on Friday, announced its list of 40 star campaigners for Assam by-polls that will be held on November 13. According to the list, AAP's national convener Arvind Kejriwal, former Deputy CM of Delhi Manish Sisodia, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Delhi CM Atishi, and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh will campaign for the party in Assam. Delhi Ministers including Gopal Rai, Kailash Gehlot, and Imran Hussain along with Sandeep Pathak, Harbhajan Singh and Harpal Singh Cheema have also been included in the list.

Acquitting a man in a dowry death case, Justices C.T. Ravikumar and Sanjay Kumar highlighted that he married the deceased's sister-in-law after the initial dowry harassment allegations arose, and emphasised that he could not be convicted simply because his wife was found guilty. According to the TOI report, the apex court and various high courts have previously flagged the issue of misuse of these provisions. They emphasised that general and vague allegations should not serve as grounds for prosecution, advising courts to approach such complaints with caution.

Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a plea filed by former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal challenging an order of the Gujarat High Court refusing to quash summons in a defamation case over his alleged remarks over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's educational qualification. A bench of Justices Hrishikesh Roy and S V N Bhatti noted that a separate bench of the apex court had junked the plea filed by AAP leader Sanjay Singh on April 8 in the same case. «We must have a consistent approach,» said the bench. The Gujarat High Court had on February 16 dismissed the pleas of Singh and Kejriwal seeking quashing of the summons issued against them in the case.

Sebi for an initial public offering of Rs 570 crore, a statement said on Monday. The initial public offering (IPO) comprises a fresh issue of shares worth up to Rs 170 crore and an Offer for Sale (OFS) of shares worth up to Rs 400 crore, Jaro Education said in the statement. Sawant said: «We have boycotted because the committee is not functioning according to the principles and norms of the committee. Ethically and principally, they are wrong». NBCC on Tuesday moved the Supreme Court seeking to develop and complete embattled realty major Supertech Limited's 17 stalled or partially built projects where around 27,000 hassled home buyers are stuck for years. These 17 projects were launched in the National Capital Region, Dehradun and Bengaluru but completion of the residential units was hit due to financial crisis faced by the realty major which led to insolvency proceedings since 2021. A bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Sanjay Kumar was told by advocate ML Lahoty, appearing for the hassled home buyers, that the National Buildings Construction Corporation Ltd (NBCC) has come forward with a proposal to complete these stalled projects having around 51,000 residential units. Senior advocate Gopal Jain, appearing for NBCC, said the public sector undertaking has filed an intervention application in a matter related to insolvency proceedings of Supertech Ltd to develop the stalled project on the lines of Amrapali Group.

Akshay Shinde, died following a police shooting on Monday evening. Police reported that the 24-year-old sweeper allegedly snatched a revolver from a police officer and opened fire, prompting officers to return fire in self-defense. The accused was taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after.The incident occurred at approximately 6:15 PM when the accused, during transit in a police van, seized a gun from Assistant Police Inspector Nilesh More. According to police accounts, the accused fired three shots, leading to Senior Inspector Sanjay Shinde returning fire, which hit the accused in the temple. More is currently receiving treatment for injuries sustained during the incident.
