Reliance wins govt nod for additional investment to raise KG-D6 gas output
Reliance Industries Ltd has got government approval for making additional investments in developing gas reserves in its KG-D6 block in the Bay of Bengal that can add 4 to 5 million standard cubic meters per day to the production, a company official said. Reliance and its partner bp Plc currently produce around 30 mmscmd or about 30 per cent of India's gas production, from the KG-D6 block. At an investors' call announcing the fourth quarter earnings, Sanjay Roy, senior vice-president for exploration and production at Reliance Industries Ltd, said the development plan for incremental production has been approved by the government. «One good aspect of this quarter gone by was that we had an incremental development plan approved by the government, which has the potential to deliver incremental production of 4 to 5 million standard cubic meters (per day) in the coming few years, which would augment the production that we have,» he said.

As the Israel-Hamas war raged, the navy showed up in strength to protect crucial sea lanes as a first responder, security provider and resident power in the Indian Ocean region. It deployed 21 ships, made 19 interventions and rescued more than 100 crew and others, sometimes from the burning deck. And it assured protection to 450 merchant ships carrying essential supplies.

Baltimore ship accident has East Coast ports scrambling to absorb cargo
The Port of Virginia, with terminals at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay near Norfolk, is opening a gate Monday at 5 a.m. — an hour earlier than usual — to help accommodate more truckers. The Port of New York and New Jersey, which is expecting additional cargo including autos, is working to allow quick access for transport companies that usually go through Baltimore. A major railroad is expanding its services, too. Fallout from last week’s deadly bridge collapse, which indefinitely closed the nation’s 17th-largest port by total cargo tonnage and the busiest gateway for vehicles, is expected to be largely contained as neighboring facilities with spare capacity tweak their schedules. Snarls, delays and added costs are more likely to appear outside ports as tens of thousands of shipments require longer routes on already-crowded roadways and rail lines.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die and this means that this action packed movie will be in theatres soon. Bad Boys franchise will see it's fourth film, the first being directed by Michael Bay in the year 1995, that introduced both the actors into this franchise. This film was subsequently followed by Bad Boys II, another blockbuster direction by Michael Bay, released in 2003 and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. According to Hollywood Reporter, Bad Boys II was one of the primary reasons of Will Smith's epic rise to fame after which he worked in projects like «Men In Black» alongside Tommy Lee Jones, Tony Shalboub, Linda Florentino and other Hollywood stars, making Smith a sensation in the industry. Similar was the case with Independence Day, starring Smith, and directed by Roland Emmerich. Interestingly, these films Smith has worked in have seen subsequent sequels, some of them being more than one, just like the Bad Boys which turned into a long-term franchise.
