Domestic benchmark index NSE Nifty ended 89.4 points up at 19783.4, while the BSE Sensex closed 275.62 points up at 65930.77. On the other hand, Emami Realty, Dhunseri Invst, Sastasundar Ventures, DRC Systems India and RattanIndia Infra stocks hit their fresh 52-week highs today.

The board of directors of these companies have declared interim dividend and final dividend for its eligible shareholders. Coal India: Coal India has declared an interim dividend of ₹15.25 per share.

Buy or sell stocks for today: After witnessing choppy trade throughout the day, key benchmark indices of the Indian stock market ended mixed on Monday. Nifty 50 index ended 37 points lower at 19,694 levels, BSE Sensex shed 139 points and closed at 65,655 mark whereas Nifty Bank index finished marginally higher at 43,584 levels.

Dividend Stocks: Shares of several companies will trade ex-dividend in the coming week including Coal India, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), Oil India, Aurobindo Pharma among others will trade ex-dividend in the coming week, starting from Monday, November 20. The ex-dividend date is the day on which the equity share price adjusts to reflect the next dividend payout. It is the day the stock becomes ex-dividend, which means it does not carry the value of its next dividend payment from that day forward.

BSE Sensex ended higher by 742.06 points or 1.14 per cent at 65,675.93 level while the Nifty 50 closed at 19,675.45 level, up 231.90 points or 1.19 per cent. Nifty 50 index opened higher and hit intraday high of 19,653 levels, logging 210 points gain during Wednesday session against its Monday close of 19,443 mark.

Sanjiv Bhasin, Director, IIFL Securities, says people are talking of largecap underperformance. But the stars have been REC, PFC, NTPC, and Coal India. While people kept doubting the PSU rally, they kept going higher. There is still more steam there. I would not advocate buying fresh ad hoc, one can do SIP in some of these stocks. These are on a multi-year high, which means there is much under participation, particularly from mutual funds and FIIs that these stocks are going to be huge outperformers. Is there a trade in the short term in any of the jewellery, retail or textile stocks, considering everyone I have spoken to, referred to very long lines outside big stores. Correct. I think Reliance Retail will be the biggest beneficiary. They are adding about 800 outlets per quarter. One thing which is getting unnoticed by the market is how fast Reliance Retail is expanding into the market share and gaining market share. Earlier, they had about 2,000 outlets, now it is 800 per quarter. You can imagine how fast this multiplicity will be and that caters to all needs.

Coal India (CIL) after the company's second-quarter results beat market expectations. The stock jumped 5.3% to hit a 52-week high of ₹350, emerging as one of the biggest gainers on Monday. The average price target on Coal India of all analysts compiled by Bloomberg following the second quarter results is at ₹338.22, almost 3% lower than its closing price of ₹349.35 on Monday. Brokerage Jefferies said that the company's earnings outlook has improved due to better volume growth and lower-than-expected cost trajectory.

NEW DELHI : The government plans to tap the offer-for-sale (OFS) route for disinvestments in listed public sector enterprises during the rest of the fiscal year instead of initiating fresh strategic sales, a government official said. “Towards the end of the fiscal year, there are usually a few OFS," the official said, adding this would not be done with the aim of meeting budget targets. “Some PSUs (public sector undertakings), where the minimum shareholding norms have to be met, may be considered," the official said on condition of anonymity.

Coal India share price extended rally to hit a fresh 52-week high on Monday after the company’s better-than-estimated earnings for the quarter ended September 2023 cheered analysts. Coal India shares gained as much as 4.76% to a high of ₹347.50 apiece on the BSE after certain brokerages raised target price on the stock. The world’s largest coal miner, Coal India (CIL), reported a 9.85% increase in revenue and a 12.51% increase in net profit year-over-year during the second quarter of FY24.

The overall market capitalisation of the BSE-listed firms rose to nearly ₹322.5 lakh crore from nearly ₹320.3 lakh crore in the previous session, making investors richer by about ₹2.2 lakh crore on Muhurat Trading 2023. Shares of Infosys, Wipro, Asian Paints and TCS ended as the top gainers in the Sensex index while only two stocks - Sun Pharma and UltraTech Cement - ended in the red in the 30-share pack.
