Elon Musk’s costly gamble on Wisconsin’s Supreme Court backfires as voters hand him an embarrassing political defeat
Elon Musk, who spent millions opposing her. The most expensive race of its kind drew national attention, owing to Elon Musk's significant investment in Brad Schimel's campaign, which ultimately failed to sway voters. The ostensibly nonpartisan race turned into the costliest state Supreme Court race in American history, serving as the first significant battleground state election of President Donald Trump's second term. Following Crawford's win in the first battleground state election of Donald Trump's second term, liberals will continue to hold a slim majority on the court. According to NBC News, Democratic-backed Dane County circuit judge Susan Crawford defeated former Republican attorney general Brad Schimel, a Waukesha County circuit judge, to win a 10-year term on the court. Donald Trump and Elon Musk, his multibillionaire advisor, suffer as a result.

Musk's DOGE gig for Trump bleeds him dry but Tesla offers opportunity to make money
Elon Musk acknowledged that his job as head of President Donald Trump’s effort to cut the size of government is “costing me a lot” when it comes to his other big job, as CEO of Tesla Inc. Political backlash from Musk’s recent political forays in the US and around the world have weighed on Tesla at home and abroad. “It’s costing me a lot to be in this job,” Musk said at a town hall event in Wisconsin, noting some of his political opponents have highlighted the stock’s retreat. “What they’re trying to do is put massive pressure on me, and Tesla I guess, to you know, I don’t know, stop doing this,” Musk said. “My Tesla stock and the stock of everyone who holds Tesla has gone, went roughly in half. I mean it’s a big deal.” Tesla shares rose to a record high in the month after Trump was elected, but have dropped 45% since their Dec. 17 peak. While he remains the world’s richest man, Musk’s own personal wealth has declined by more than $100 billion this year, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. “Long term I think Tesla stock’s going to do fine, so maybe it’s a buying opportunity,” Musk said.

Pizza with key marijuana ingredient sickens people in US state. Here is what has happened
Pizza inadvertently laced with the Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) has apparently sickened dozens of people in Wisconsin, as per an AP report. Health officials in Dane County say Famous Yeti’s Pizza in Stoughton, about 20 miles (32 kilometers) southeast of Madison, served pizza contaminated with THC, the principal psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, from Monday through Thursday. Paramedics alerted health officials on Thursday that they had transported five people who said they had gotten sick after eating pizza at the restaurant, AP reported. Health officials said they have received dozens of reports of people who got sick from the pizza and are still taking reports. A full tally will be available in a final report, they said.

Big blow to Trump: In this swing state, RFK Jr.'s name will stay on the ballot
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s name will remain on the presidential ballot in Wisconsin after a judge denied his request to have it removed, potentially hurting Donald Trump's re-election chances. RFK Jr. abandoned his own independent presidential campaign late last month to support the former president, who has offered him a cabinet position if he returns to office. The former Democrat has since scrambled to remove his name from ballots across swing states, stating that if his name remains, he would likely hand the election over to the Democrats after abandoning his presidential campaign. The removal of RFK Jr. from ballots in swing states could help Republicans secure key votes in the tight race for the White House between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. Dane Cook marries 24-year-old Kelsi Taylor in Hawaii
Dane Cook is officially a married man at the age of 51. He tied the knot with his fiancée, fitness instructor Kelsi Taylor, who is 24 years old, in an intimate ceremony on the beautiful island of O'ahu, Hawaii. The couple had been together for five years before taking this step, and their wedding was a special event attended by just 20 close guests. The wedding was hosted at a private estate on the picturesque island of O'ahu, Hawaii. Guests were welcomed with fresh coconuts on their tables and enjoyed a romantic atmosphere created by dreamy string lights, with '80s music providing the soundtrack for the evening. The delectable dinner, prepared by Memoirs Hawaii, featured wedge and local green salads with a yuzu honey dressing, seared beef tenderloin, and roasted carrots. Dessert options included cakes from A Cake Life and Erin McKenna's Bakery, offering both vegan and gluten-free vanilla cakes along with traditional vanilla cake. Additionally, a dessert bar featured chocolate-covered strawberries and mini donuts. Dane Cook and Kelsi Taylor revealed that they already had prepared themselves to face criticism due to their significant 26-year age gap when they got engaged in July 2022. Despite the potential backlash, they publicly announced their engagement in August of the same year, and now they've taken the next step in their journey together by getting married.
