Dhoni to retire? CSK coach says MS knows what he is going to do
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) faced a pivotal moment as their hopes for a playoff spot were dashed following a loss against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Amidst the disappointment, CSK's bowling coach, Eric Simons, shed light on the influence of MS Dhoni within the team and speculated on his future in the Indian Premier League (IPL). «Dhoni’s retirement from the IPL is one of the biggest talking points as the 42-year-old former Indian captain is speculated to have played his last game for the men in yellow, a team which he has led to five IPL titles,» acknowledged Simons. Reflecting on Dhoni's performance, Simons highlighted the veteran's ability to instill unwavering self-belief in the team during challenging moments. «There are so many memories of MS Dhoni, the knocks that he plays get you out of trouble,» expressed Simons. «He brings incredible self-belief to the group. Even when our backs were against the wall, he instilled confidence that victory was within reach.»

Defunct iron factory linked to Dalai Lama sees renewed hope of resurrection every election season
Dalai Lama — a man who has no worldly possessions and has eschewed wealth — once owned a factory in a small Indian town, that produced iron. But now, it only produces longing for the people of Hirodih, a small village outside the town of Koderma, in Jharkhand. At the entrance of Hirodih stands Gayday Iron & Steel Company, now corroded and abandoned, was once owned by the Tibetan spiritual leader and Nobel Prize winner. Spanning 350 acres, the plant was set up by the Dalai Lama in the 1960s after he acquired the land from the villagers for Rs 4 crore. Once a major avenue for employment in the region, the factory has been shut for the better part of four decades now. Despite this, the people of the region hold out hope that it will be returned to its former glory.

Mothers should be allowed to show their teeth
The Boy and the Heron, the young protagonist Mahito follows a mysterious Heron (with a set of teeth and a twinkle in his eyes) through a life-changing adventure. Like many other Miyazaki movies, this one too tells complex stories through deceptively simple tropes—a boy, a talking animal, creatures both odd and good-looking. It strikes me that there is a larger metaphor in having an animal carry a message.

Top two tech firms shed Gen Z flab, gain silver muscle
Bengaluru: Tata Consultancy Services Ltd and Infosys, India's top two IT services exporters, have seen the share of Gen Z employees as a percentage of their total headcount plunge to the lowest in five years and a decade, respectively, showed an ET analysis. The share of Gen Z employees — or those aged 30 and under — fell by about 5 percentage points last fiscal at Bengaluru-based Infosys, and by over 2.5 percentage points at Mumbai-based TCS. The trend underscores a tepid IT hiring climate amid industry turbulence, which have impacted onboarding of young talent the most.
