Passenger vehicle wholesales rose 4% year-on-year in November while retail sales fell 14%, reflecting rising dealer stocks. The company recorded a total revenue of ₹1,869 crore, slightly lower than the previous year's ₹1,873 crore, reflecting a 0.21% decrease. Operating expenses rose marginally to ₹1,643 crore, up from ₹1,633 crore, indicating a 0.61% increase. LinkedIn India's marketing services contributed significantly to the revenue, accounting for 54.06% of the total turnover. Contract research and development services and customer support services complemented the revenue streams, contributing 41.43% and 4.51%, respectively.

In their natural habitat, monkeys can be playful and silly, but also determined and loyal. These primates love to climb and swim. Mothers nurse their young ones for up to a year. Rhesus macaques also play an important environmental role. Since fruit is an important part of their diet, they disperse fruit seeds over large distances, maintaining tropical forests and plants, and strengthening and balancing local ecosystems.

S Jaishankar on Friday said that Indian security forces would be going to all patrolling points in Depsang in Ladakh and the eastward limit, which have historically been India's patrolling limit. He informed the Lok Sabha during question hour that the last of the disengagement agreement with China was related to Depsang and Demchok. Indian Navy's latest survey ship — INS Nirdeshak — that boasts over «80 per cent indigenous content», reaffirming the naval force's focus towards Aatmanirbharta, is all set to be commissioned at Visakhapatnam on December 18, a senior official said on Friday. The commissioning ceremony will be presided over by Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth. «The Indian Navy is all set to commission its latest survey ship 'Nirdeshak' at Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam, on December 18,» a Navy spokesperson said. The ceremony will be hosted by the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command and attended by distinguished guests, including senior naval officials and GRSE representatives.

Mahua Moitra accused the BJP-led Centre on Friday of «bleeding the Constitution from a thousand cuts» and said it is crystal clear that the political executive has «systematically eroded democracy» over the last 10 years. India and the United Arab Emirates(UAE) on Friday discussed implementation of the ambitious India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEEC) and resolved to shore up ties in areas of energy including long-term supplies and collaboration in upstream and downstream projects. Ways to further deepen bilateral relations in areas of energy, connectivity and trade figured prominently at the 15th India-UAE Joint Commission Meeting (JCM) that was co-chaired by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and his UAE counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The meeting was held in New Delhi. The two foreign ministers also deliberated on expanding strategic partnership between the two countries in areas of defence, emerging technologies, nuclear energy, polar research, critical minerals and renewable energy at a meeting of the India- UAE Strategic Dialogue held last night.

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has introduced new Route Patrolling Vehicles (RPVs) named ‘Rajmarg Saathi’ as part of its incident management services. The move is aimed at enhancing road safety and strengthening highway patrolling, NHAI said on Friday. The RPVs conduct inspection of National Highway stretches to monitor and respond to emergency situations. The guidelines for ‘Rajmarg Saathi’ RPVs include detailed specifications related to the use of vehicle, equipment and manpower.

Department of Posts and the Ministry of External Affairs have signed an agreement to set up an additional 600 passport seva kendras at post offices, Union Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Friday. Speaking at the India Economic Enclave 2024, the minister said India Post has about 6,40,000 points of sales across the country and no one in the world can match its scale. «In the next 3-4 years, we will become a citizen-centric service. We have signed an agreement with the MEA today where we will set up 600 more networks for passport seva kendras, hopefully servicing one crore citizens per year through our network,» the minister said. Launched in 2017, the Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSKs) service has been instrumental in facilitating passport-related services to over 1.52 crore citizens.
