Airlines NCLT to hear lessors’ pleas for SpiceJet insolvency in August
The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has postponed the hearing of insolvency pleas against budget carrier SpiceJet, granting the airline 10 days to file a rejoinder. The pleas were filed by aircraft lessors Aircastle of Ireland and Wilmington Trust. The court is scheduled to hear the Aircastle case on 8 August, and Wilmington Trust’s plea on 17 August.

Go First's resolution professional (RP) challenging an earlier order that allowed lessors to inspect the airline's aircraft and their parts at regular intervals.  Lessors can now carry out inspections regularly. Additionally, the bench comprising chief justice Satish Chandra Sharma and justice Sajeev Narula has given the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) 15 days to grant approvals to the airline for resuming operations. On 5 July, a single-judge bench of the Delhi High Court permitted the lessors of the airline to inspect and carry out maintenance work of Go First's 30 aircraft within the next three days.

After the Battle of Boyne, King James II became the last Catholic king of England. King James II, who was also the father-in-law of King William III fled to France post defeat. Victory of King William III during Battle of Boyne ensured Protestant Ascendancy in Ireland. Annual commemorations of the Battle of Boyne by the Orange order has often sparked controversies. The Orange order is an International Protestant fraternal Order. These controversies have mainly hit in Northern Ireland and some parts of Scotland. The members of the Orange Order remember this battle through parades in the city. They dress in Orange, carry placards and banner during the parades. Pipes and drums are also played during annual commemoration parades by the Orange Order members. Irish nationalists and British Unionists have reportedly been involved in confrontations during several occasions of Battle of Boyne commemoration parades. As the date of commemoration is noted in calenders today, many users have been wondering and are puzzled. Northern Irish people get an extra bank holiday for this day.
