Actress Eva Longoria moves her family from California for Spain and Mexico, calls Trump a criminal who spews hate, and labels the U.S. as dystopian
Eva Longoria, an actress, acknowledged that she and her family left the dystopian United States for a better life in Mexico and Spain, escaping the homelessness and exorbitant taxes of California, as quoted in a report by The New York Post. Longoria shared that this is where she spent her entire adult life. However, things were shifting even before the pandemic. It had a different vibe. The COVID-19 pandemic then pushed it over the edge. Whether it's the taxes or the homelessness, she doesn't want to criticise California; it just feels like this phase of her life is over. The 49-year-old Desperate Housewives star countered that Donald Trump's victory was another reason to leave, even though the homelessness and taxes occurred in California during the Democratic administration.

ISRO proposes to build Earth Observation satellite for Mexico
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), confident in its plans to launch the NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) Earth Observation Satellite early next year from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC), has shown interest in building an Earth Observation (EO) satellite for Mexico to further deepen the 75-year-old diplomatic relationship between the two nations in 2025. Mexico's Ambassador to India, Federico Salas met ISRO Chairman S Somanath at Antriksh Bhavan in Bengaluru on Wednesday. The two highlighted the successful cooperation between the two space agencies. Ambassador Salas emphasized the need to broaden cooperation with the Mexican space agency—Agencia Espacial Mexicana (AEM)—and expand collaboration with the Latin American and Caribbean Space Agency (ALCE), which comprises several countries, for the peaceful use and exploration of outer space. According to a statement from ISRO, Ambassador Salas expressed gratitude for India’s support in space technology applications, particularly in areas such as forest fire monitoring and agricultural drought management.

What a Trump presidency could mean for Canadian pocketbooks
To play on a familiar saying: if America sneezes and the world catches a cold, Canada is the first to get sick. As Donald Trump prepares to take office for a second term, Canadians are bracing for a range of policy changes that will inevitably affect our economy — and, by extension, our pocketbooks. While stock and bond markets are already reacting in anticipation of the changes, just how far Trump will go on issues such as trade and immigration remains to be seen. Here’s a look at what economists are predicting could lie ahead.

Joe Biden's name wasn't on the ballot, but history will likely remember Kamala Harris' resounding defeat as his loss too. As Democrats pick up the pieces after President-elect Donald Trump's decisive victory, some of the vice president's backers are expressing frustration that Biden's decision to seek reelection until this summer — despite long-standing voter concerns about his age and unease about post-pandemic inflation as well as the U.S.-Mexico border — all but sealed his party's surrender of the White House, as per an AP report.
