Chevron warns that its $53B acquisition of Hess Corp. may be in jeopardy over key asset in Guyana
$53 billion acquisition of Hess may be in jeopardy because it will require the approval of Exxon Mobil and a Chinese national oil company, which both hold rights to development of an oil field off the coast of the South American nation Guyana. The disclosure in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission raised investor qualms, depressing shares of both Chevron and Hess. India does not rush into trade agreements if it is not fair, balanced, equitable: Goyal
India does not 'rush' into any Free Trade Agreement (FTA) if the pact is not equitable, balanced, and fair for the country, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday said. He said that the ground realities in India have changed now and the offers made by partner countries in these agreements are «not at all» comparable to what India is offering to the world. At present, negotiations for FTAs with the UK, Oman, and the four-nation European Free Trade Association (EFTA) are nearing conclusion. EFTA members are Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland.

Deepak Fertilisers enters into a 15-year LNG contract with Norway's Equinor
Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (DFPCL) has entered into a long-term supply agreement for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) with Equinor, an international energy company headquartered in Norway. Equinor, erstwhile Statoil, will annually supply up to 0.65 million tonnes to DFPCL over a period of 15 years, beginning in 2026. The tie-up provides room for trading some LNG parcels in the growing LNG demands in India as well as accommodating DFPCL’s growing captive needs, the companies said. The LNG will be delivered to the west coast of India. DFPCL is at an advanced stage of tying up the re-gasification terminal with the gas pipeline grid connectivity to its plant's doorstep already in place.
