Europe's Bled Strategic Forum 2024 hosts the world
International Conference of the Bled Strategic Forum will take place in Bled, Slovenia between September 2-3. This year's conference is titled «A World of Parallel Realities» and will be marked by new innovative approaches in the programme and even greater involvement of youth. «The awareness that we live in a world of parallel realities encourages us to bring these realities together for the common good. This year, with a programme of exceptional quality and diversity, we are signaling that we are opening Slovenia to the world, and at the same time, as a responsible member of the international community and a member of the UN Security Council, we are accepting our responsibilities and taking on even the most challenging debates. The Bled Strategic Forum is of key importance for us, as an instrument of soft power of Slovenian foreign policy, it broadens Slovenia's interest in the international arena and thus makes our more active role in the global arena a reality,» said Tanja Fajon, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign and European Affairs. The Bled Strategic Forum is an intergovernmental project of the Republic of Slovenia, organised by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the Centre for European Future, and is one of the most visible foreign policy events in Slovenia. It brings in top policy makers at the annual platform.

Melania Trump to be deported? Elon Musk's stern warning to Congresswoman over her shocking calls
Maxine Waters suggested that US President Donald Trump consider deporting his wife, Melania Trump, while criticizing his administration's immigration policies. Waters went after the First Lady of the United States at a Los Angeles rally protesting DOGE cuts, where she referenced Trump's executive order attempting to end birthright citizenship, which confers citizenship status on people born here. Trump has vowed to remove millions of migrants without legal status from the United States as part of his mass deportation program. «If he wants to start looking so closely to find those who were born here and their parents were undocumented, maybe he ought to first look at Melania,' she said, personalizing the political attack. When he [Trump] talks about birthright, and he's going to undo the fact that the Constitution allows those who are born here, even if the parents are undocumented, they have a right to stay in America,» she said at the rally. ALSO READ: 'I am almost done...': Elon Musk to step down from DOGE and quit Washington DC after $1 trillion in US govt cuts «We don't know whether or not her parents were documented. And maybe we better just take a look,» said Waters, who was among the first House Democrats calling to impeach Trump during his first term.

In voyage to make US great again, is Trump disrupting the great American dream?
Immigration Native Americans represent only 2% of the U.S. population, with the rest of the population having an immigration story. Trump himself has German ancestry on his father’s side, Melania is from Slovenia, Vice President JD Vance has Scots-Irish roots, and his wife is of Indian origin. America has always been a «melting pot,» attracting talent from around the world. The American dream has allowed for success stories like that of Arnold Schwarzenegger, an Austrian bodybuilder who became a leading actor and later California governor. What’s Changed?

Ukraine's president calls for unspecified global 'action' to force Russia into peace
Ukraine's president dismissed the notion of peace talks with Moscow on Tuesday, calling instead for unspecified global «action» to force Russia into peace for invading his country and to comply with the U.N. Charter's requirement that every country respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all other nations. Volodymyr Zelenskyy told the U.N. Security Council that Russian President Vladimir Putin is committing «an international crime» and has broken so many international rules that he won't stop on his own. «And that's why this war can't simply fade away. That's why this war can't be calmed by talks,» Zelenskyy said at a meeting on the sidelines of the annual gathering of world leaders at the General Assembly. «Russia can only be forced into peace, and that is exactly what's needed — forcing Russia into peace as the sole aggressor in this war, the sole violator of the U.N. Charter.»
