During his speech, PM Modi hit out at the Opposition and said 'Opposition couldn't prepare for debate on no-confidence motion despite so much time in hand, even its sympathisers are disappointed'. PM Modi recalled the no confidence motion brought against him in 2018 by the opposition and asked, ‘What kind of discussion have you done on this motion?’.

Alkem Laboratories Limited, on Thursday, reported a 124.6% year-on-year surge in its profit after tax (PAT) at ₹286.73 crore for the June quarter. Revenue from operations stood at ₹2,967.7 crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, up 15.2%. The company’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) was ₹389.2 crore, while Ebitda margin stood at 13.1%.

₹70 a kilo, the minister said. "In the case of these essential commodities, we are taking enough steps but more will also be taken because we are conscious that people need essentials at an affordable price," the minister assured.
