Is World War III underway? The 'Prophet of Doom' predicts technological war by end of 2024
Athos Salome, a 36-year-old Brazilian parapsychologist widely known as the “Living Nostradamus,” has gained attention for his unsettling predictions about future global crises. In a recent interview with The Daily Star, Salome issued a dire warning about an impending World War III, one that he claims will be fought not on traditional battlefields but through technology and global systems collapse. Salome, who previously predicted major events like the COVID-19 pandemic, Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter (now rebranded as X), and the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, believes humanity is on the verge of a pivotal shift in modern warfare. He predicts that by the end of 2024, signs of this unconventional conflict will emerge, marked by a “technological war.” “This is not just a war of men but of machines,” Salome told The Daily Star. His forecast highlights the increasing reliance on advanced technologies in conflicts and suggests a significant transformation in how nations confront each other during times of war.

Russia believes India, Brazil and African countries should be represented in UNSC: Sergey Lavrov
Russia's top diplomat has said that his country believes that India, Brazil and African countries should be represented in the UN Security Council on a permanent basis to ensure the representativeness of the global majority, state-owned TASS news agency reported on Sunday. «Countries such as India, Brazil, as well as representatives of Africa should have been on a permanent basis in the Security Council for a long time. This is necessary to ensure representativeness, representation of the global majority,» Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told aif.ru. in an interview, TASS reported. India has been at the forefront of years-long efforts calling for reform of the Security Council, including expansion in both its permanent and non-permanent categories, saying the 15-nation Council, founded in 1945, is not fit for purpose in the 21st Century and does not reflect contemporary geo-political realities. Delhi has underscored that it deserves a permanent seat at the horse-shoe table. Last month, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer joined US President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron in backing India's bid for a permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

Russia, Ukraine have to negotiate, India willing to give advice if they want: S Jaishankar in Germany
Ukraine conflict cannot be resolved on the battlefield, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said on Tuesday that Russia and Ukraine have to negotiate, and if they want advice, India is always willing to give. Jaishankar made the comments while responding to questions at the Annual Ambassadors' Conference of the German Foreign Office in Berlin, a day after he held a «useful conversation» with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on the margins of the India-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) foreign ministers' meeting in the Saudi capital. «We don't think this conflict is going to be resolved on the battlefield.
