GSAT-N2 has been successfully placed in orbit by SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket, Elon Musk’s space tech firm and the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (Isro) commercial arm NSIL said in a series of social media posts early on Tuesday. “Deployment of @NSIL_India GSAT-N2 confirmed,” SpaceX said in a post on microblogging site X at 12.36 am on Tuesday. Shortly after, NSIL posted, “Successfully into the orbit.” The 4,700-kg satellite, launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, has been injected into the desired geosynchronous transfer orbit (GTO) and Isro’s Master Control Facility (MCF) has taken control of the satellite, NSIL said. «Preliminary data indicates the satellite is in good health,” it added.

Corporate Infotech Pvt Ltd (CIPL) on Tuesday said it received a seven-year contract from state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for an overhaul of IT infrastructure. "ONGC awards Corporate Infotech Rs 98 crore contract for on-premise IT Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) on 'Pay-per-Use' Model. The contract will be executed over a period of seven years by September 2031," CIPL said in a statement. This project is aimed at augmenting ONGC's IT hardware infrastructure across its Corporate Infocom Data Centre (CIDC) in Delhi as well as the disaster recovery site in Vadodara, Gujarat, the Noida-based company said.

Vistara was a joint venture between Singapore Airlines and Tatas, and with the merger, Singapore Airlines has a 25.1 per cent in Tata Group-owned Air India. At a symbolic ceremony in the national capital on Monday, Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines celebrated the merger. Naxalites were killed and two security personnel injured in an anti-insurgency operation in Chhattisgarh's Bastar region on Saturday, a senior police official said. The gunfight broke out at around 8 am in a forest in north Abujhmad near the borders of Narayanpur and Kanker districts, while a joint team of security forces was conducting an anti-Naxalite operation, he added. The operation included personnel from the Border Security Force (BSF), District Reserve Guard (DRG), and Special Task Force (STF), he stated.
