British airline EasyJet left 19 passengers on the runway as the plane reportedly became 'too heavy' to take off. The flight from Lanzarote's Arrecife Airport to John Lennon Airport, Liverpool, was delayed because of the heavy weight of the, as well as, severe weather conditions. According to a report by Manchester Evening News, the EasyJet flight was supposed to take off at 9:45 PM on Wednesday but it could not take off until around 11:30 PM.

Supreme Court Friday directed cash-strapped SpiceJet to pay the entire arbitration award of ₹380 crore to its former promoter Kalanithi Maran in a share transfer dispute, saying business must be carried out with «commercial morality». While refusing to grant more time to the airline to make payments of ₹75 crore to Maran, a bench led by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud said that «this is a luxury litigation...Which Supreme Court in the world will hear these arguments?» SpiceJet had sought two more months to pay as the airline was facing financial constraints. On February 13, the Supreme Court directed SpiceJet to pay ₹75 crore against Maran's claim of ₹362.49 crore in interest dues within three months under the 2018 arbitration award.

Reuters.  Efforts by Indian airlines to keep pace with the world's fastest-growing aviation market, serving the largest population, have sent industry records tumbling even though manufacturers are struggling to meet output goals due to supply chain snags. A Reuters report confirmed that Airbus gross orders before cancellations stood at 1,080 aircraft in the first half and said that had delivered 316 jets during the period.  Following the cancellation in the first half of 2022, Airbus won 442 orders or a net total of 259 and delivered an unadjusted total of 297 jets.

The resolution professional of Go First is set to challenge a Delhi High Court order that restricts the airline from removing parts from planes, said people with knowledge of the matter. The order will make revival of the airline difficult, they said. Separately, the Go First resolution professional Thursday pleaded before the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) not to extend the Delhi High Court order allowing eight lessors to inspect planes and carry out maintenance of the airline's aircraft.
