Delhi excise policy case: Kavitha asks CBI to withdraw notice summoning her for questioning
BRS leader K Kavitha has asked the CBI to withdraw the notice issued to her under Section 41-A of CrPC summoning her for questioning in connection with the Delhi excise policy scam case. She was asked to appear before the investigation team at the CBI headquarters here on Monday. In a letter to the CBI, the daughter of former Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said the notice to appear at the probe agency's headquarters should be put in abeyance in the light of her pressing onerous engagements coupled with the necessity of her personal presence in the state while the parliamentary elections are underway. «I may request you to firstly revoke or withdraw the subject notice as it appears to be sent by invoking Section 41A CrPC while not being aware or conscious of the earlier notice sent under Section 160 CrPC,» she said.

'Oye, hero nahi banne ka': Rohit Sharma warns Sarfaraz Khan, rebukes him for ignoring personal safety
Rohit Sharma is one of those cricketers who never really minces their words, especially on the field. Every now and then, stump-mic catches the words which are spoken by him; sometimes they evoke humour and also catch the attention of everyone. On the third day of the ongoing Ranchi Test against England, Rohit Sharma was at his very best when he scolded teammate Sarfaraz Khan for ignoring personal safety. Khan was fielding at silly point, which is very close to the batsman and considered a risky position as the fielder doesn't get much time to react to a shot. Over the years, it has become imperative for players to wear helmets for safety while standing in this risky position. It all happened when Rohit Sharma called Sarfaraz from the deep to field at the silly mid-off position. The enthusiastic young man immediately took the position without wearing the helment, but Rohit inervened in time. Sarafaraz's silly act earned the ire of his captain, as he quickly walked to him and warned him about the grave mistake that could prove costly. «Oye, hero nahi banne ka,» Rohit said in a saracastic tone. Since being shared, the short clip on the incident has gone viral, and even the Delhi Police have also used it to spread awareness on the importance of wearing a helmet while driving.

More than just a trophy: Tonight’s Carabao Cup final might be Klopp’s last chance for silverware at Liverpool
Mauricio Pochettino has reminded his Chelsea players of the embarrassment they felt coming off the pitch at Anfield a few weeks ago. Liverpool eviscerated them 4-1, which points to one reason Jurgen Klopp’s squad haven’t really dwelt on that victory themselves. They’ve had too much happening. Liverpool are going full steam for four trophies. This League Cup may well be a first on a few levels, if also an end. It is at least possible this is the last chance Klopp has of winning a trophy at Liverpool. It might be his last trophy. It could well be a special afternoon, even if it isn’t totally realised on the day.
