What is your take on the markets at this juncture because it has been a decent sell-off from the high point. Is there any area where you are finding the valuations to be attractive or good opportunities at this price point? Also help us with your take on the PSUs because they have been feeling the heat and do you believe that the PSUs have some headroom for recovery? Gurmeet Chadha: In absolute terms, there is a lot of selling in the market. Nobody really anticipated this kind of selling coming through and in a matter of a few weeks. So, almost $12-$13 billion is gone and the market has still absorbed quite a bit of it.

Godavari Biorefineries Ltd on Tuesday said it has raised over Rs 166 crore from anchor investors, a day before its initial share-sale opening for public subscription. Marquee investors who participated in the anchor book included HDFC Mutual Fund, Whiteoak Capital Fund, Goldman Sachs (Singapore) Pte Ltd, Societe General and SBI General Insurance, according to a circular uploaded on BSE website. As per the circular, Godavari Biorefineries allocated 47.28 lakh equity shares to 19 funds at Rs 352 apiece, which is also the upper price band of the IPO. This translates into a transaction size of Rs 166.42 crore.

Bajaj Finance is expected to report a net interest income in the range between Rs 8,810 crore and Rs 9,187 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2024 according to estimates by five brokerages. This is likely to be an uptick of 24-28% over the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The profit after tax (PAT) in the July-September quarter could be around Rs 4,030 crore to Rs 6,083 crore.

Kotak Mahindra Bank shares fell over 4% to Rs 1,793.85 on NSE after the private sector lender after its net interest margin (NIM) moderated 11 bps sequentially to 4.91% and card delinquencies drove an increase in slippage run-rate. «Factoring in slower growth and rising NPAs, we cut our earnings by 1-5% over FY25-27E, while we retain our REDUCE rating with TP of Rs1,700 rolling forward on 1.7x Sep-26E Standalone ABV and subs/inv value at Rs550/share,» Emkay Global analyst Anand Dama said.

Bajaj Housing Finance will be in focus today as the company will earnings for the second quarter ended September 2024. In the run up to the results, the shares of Housing have been muted, falling nearly 4%. While there are no estimates of the recently debuted company, it reported that the assets under management (AUM) surpassed Rs 1 lakh crore during the quarter, reaching Rs 1,02,550 crore—a 26% increase compared to Rs 81,215 crore in the same quarter last year.
