Brandon Graham announces retirement after 15 seasons with Philadelphia Eagles; fans react
Philadelphia Eagles star Brandon Graham has announced his retirement from the NFL. The Super Bowl LIX champion and long-time fan favourite brought the curtain down on a 15-season career, all spent with the Eagles. As per reports, Graham, 36, suffered a torn triceps in November which apparently brought his playing days to an end. However, he defied expectations to return for the Eagles’ Super Bowl triumph over the Kansas City Chiefs. This cemented his status as one of the team’s all-time greats. According to a Daily Mail report, on Monday, the Eagles posted a picture of Graham walking past the Rocky statue. A pair of green cleats was hanging from the statue. The post also included a quote from the film.

When NASA ‘alien’ entered International Space Station after SpaceX crew docks, greeted astronauts
NASA astronauts — Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore — who have been stuck in orbit for months. The newly arrived SpaceX crew that docked with the ISS was greeted by both humans and foreign faces. 'Jo karega jaat ki baat, usko kass ke marunga laat', says Nitin Gadkari, rejecting caste-based politics
Nitin Gadkari delivered a powerful message about equality and his refusal to engage in caste-based politics at the Convocation ceremony of the Central India Group of Institutions in Nagpur on Saturday. The BJP leader noted that a person's worth should be judged by their qualities, not their caste, religion, language, or gender. «A person is not known by their caste, sect, religion, language or sex, but only by their qualities. That is why we will not discriminate against anyone based on caste, sect, religion, language, or sex,» he stated, reiterating the importance of fairness and equality in society. Despite the fact that caste often plays a significant role in Indian politics, Gadkari remained firm in his stance, vowing not to engage in caste-based politics, even if it cost him votes. He noted that he avoids discussing religion and caste in public discourse, as he believes people value «service to society» above all else.

comeback programmes — designed to help professionals, primarily women, re-enter the workforce after a career break — are paying off for companies, but there's still a long way to go, say experts. Companies that have adopted returnship programmes are seeing the benefits: access to a bigger pool of talent, improved diversity and low attrition rates among the returnees. Alumni of these programmes often become the organisation's strongest advocates, frequently referring friends, former colleagues and other professionals. «Returnships are likely to become a standard part of talent acquisition strategies as companies realise their strategic value in addressing skill shortages and promoting diversity,» said Shilpa Khanna, people advisory leader, India, at professional services firm Aon. «The vision is for all talent that is interested to work have a fair and objective chance of returning to the workforce, get relevant support to be successful and not be discriminated against for stepping away from their careers,» Khanna said.

Who is Mark Carney, Canada's new PM, set to steer nation through the trade war brought by Trump
Mark Carney, who navigated crises when he was the head of the Bank of Canada from 2008, and then in 2013 when he became the first noncitizen to run the Bank of England — helping to manage the worst impacts of Brexit in the U.K. — will now try to steer Canada through the trade war brought by Trump. Mark Carney's path to the top job in Canadian politics has been unusual but, as he said when he launched his campaign to succeed Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, so are the circumstances. Former central banker Mark Carney was sworn in as Canada’s new prime minister on Friday, and will now try to steer his country through a trade war brought by U.S. President Donald Trump, a threat of annexation and an expected federal election. Carney, 59, replaces Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who announced his resignation in January but remained in power until the Liberal Party elected a new leader. Carney is widely expected to trigger a general election in the coming days or weeks. Carney has called the threats posed by US President Donald Trump «the most serious crisis of our lifetime.»

Sean 'Diddy' Combs, who is jailed on sex-trafficking charges, now faces a new case—forced labor
The hearing, scheduled for 2 p.m. EDT (1800 GMT) in Manhattan federal court before U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian, will require Combs, 55, to respond to the revised indictment. The trial date remains set for May 5. Previously, Combs entered a not guilty plea to charges including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation for prostitution purposes. The updated indictment, whilst not introducing additional charges, details what prosecutors describe as «forced labour» linked to the racketeering conspiracy. Prosecutors allege that Combs and associates exercised control over employees through extended work hours, minimal rest, and threats of physical, financial, psychological and reputational harm.
