The Indian Navy said the ship has been handed over to Vietnam People's Navy (VPN) with complete «weapon complement». «Today's handing-over ceremony symbolises the deep-rooted friendship and strategic partnership between India and Vietnam,» Admiral Kumar said in his address at the event. «What makes this occasion even more significant is the fact that this is the first-ever occasion that India is offering a fully-operational Corvette to any friendly foreign country,» he said. New Delhi: A United Nations survey recognizes India's commitment to global trade facilitation, earning the nation an impressive 93.55% score in 2023, a marked rise from 90.32% in 2021, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) chairperson Vivek Johri said in a weekly newsletter posted on the tax authority's website. The 2023 survey conducted by the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia Pacific (UNESCAP) considered digital and sustainable trade facilitation across over 140 economies.

Sri Lanka is considering the possibility of allowing the usage of the Indian rupee for local transactions just like the dollar, euro and yen to facilitate Indian tourists and businessmen, Foreign Minister Ali Sabry said on Saturday. ₹70 per kilogram through the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) in Delhi starting today, Saturday, July 22, said T Koshy, managing director of the government-backed platform.  Sources informed the news agency ANI that the government’s agricultural marketing agencies – the National Cooperative Consumers' Federation of India (NCCF) and the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED) – were in talks with the ONDC to implement the subsidized rate of tomatoes in the national capital.  Currently, e-commerce companies are providing doorstep delivery at about ₹170-180 per kg. The sharp rise in tomato prices was reported across the country and is not just limited to a particular region or geography.
