Opposition politicising Manipur ethnic violence, says Amit Shah
Lok Sabha on Wednesday, Union home minister Amit Shah led the government's charge against the Opposition's no-confidence motion on Wednesday. Shah slammed the Opposition for «politicising» the ethnic violence in Manipur and demanding a statement from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said there was no such precedent. He referred to incidents of ethnic violence of 1993, 1994, 1997 and 2004 — when Congress and United Front governments were in power — and said no prime minister had given a statement in the House and clarifications were left to home minister and ministers of state.

Blue Lock chapter 229: Release date, time, what to expect and more; Check details here
Yoichi Isagi, a young striker chosen for the controversial Blue Lock project aiming to develop the world's finest egotistical striker. Among 300 aspiring players, Isagi competes for the coveted position. The story is set in a world where Japan has never won the FIFA World Cup, and the Japan Football Association believes Blue Lock holds the key to victory. Led by Ego Jinpachi, a former player, the project seeks a more self-centered and aggressive striker for the national team. Isagi, inherently selfless, must grapple with his own weaknesses within Blue Lock's rigorous training, learning to prioritize his own needs to fulfill his ambition of becoming the ultimate striker. The release of Blue Lock chapter 229 is planned for Wednesday, August 16, at 12:00 am JST. The manga will continue without interruption, ensuring that the upcoming chapter is delivered as per the schedule. Fans can enjoy it by accessing Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine through physical or digital copies. In the preceding chapter, Shoei Barou found himself challenged by Yoichi Isagi and Michael Kaiser. With his path obstructed by the two Bastard Munchen players, Barou made a daring decision to attempt a shot. This move involved Snuffy and Noa, with Snuffy blocking Noa's path to the ball. As a result, the shot found its way directly into the goal, equalizing the score at 2-2.

Sputtering Trade Fuels Fears for a Connected World
The downturn in world trade, exemplified by slumping Chinese exports and a decline in U.S. imports, mainly reflects a phase of weak global economic growth.
