Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators grabbing tribal land in Jharkhand: PM Modi
With Assembly elections due later this year in Jharkhand where a coalition government of JMM, Congress and RJD is in place, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a rally in Jamshedpur on Sunday in which he described the three-party alliance as the biggest enemies of the state. “There are three enemies of Jharkhand. The sooner the people of the state realise this and deal with them, the faster the state will grow. These three are JMM, RJD and Congress,” he said, adding that while RJD still blames Jharkhand for Bihar’s backwardness, Congress has ignored the rights of the state and tribals for decades, and JMM does not espouse the cause of tribals.

Confession of crime: BJP on Kejriwal announcing to resign as Delhi CM
Delhi chief minister as a «confession of crime» and wondered if he offered to quit the post because of an infight within his Aam Aadmi Party. It also termed Kejriwal's move a «drama» and claimed he was playing an «emotional card» in a bid to make a virtue out of necessity as the Supreme Court by granting him a «conditional bail» in the excise policy graft case, restricted him from entering his office and signing any file. «When Arvind Kejriwal talked about resigning, it became a confession of his crime. He accepted that the charges levelled against him were such that he could not continue as chief minister,» BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi told a press conference at the party headquarters here. He also wondered why Kejriwal did not resign when he was arrested in connection with the scam.

BJP terms Kejriwal's resignation as "PR stunt", says "forced to resign as per SC order"
BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari termed it a «PR stunt» and said he is doing this to restore his image. Bhandari further said that Kejriwal wants to apply Sonia Gandhi's model, where she made Manmohan Singh a dummy Prime Minister and ran the government from behind the scenes. «This is a PR stunt of Arvind Kejriwal. He has understood that his image among the people of Delhi is not of an honest leader but of a corrupt leader, today Aam Aadmi Party is known across the country as a corrupt party. Under his PR stunt, he wants to restore his image...It is clear that he wants to apply the Sonia Gandhi model, where she made Manmohan Singh a dummy Prime Minister and ran the government from behind the scenes. They have understood today that the Aam Aadmi Party is losing the Delhi elections and the people of Delhi cannot vote in their name, so they want to make someone else a scapegoat,» Bhandari said.

Hindu marriage not to be dissolved as contract: Allahabad HC
Allahabad High Court, in a significant judgement, has ruled that a Hindu marriage is not to be dissolved or terminated as a contract. The sacrament based Hindu marriage may be dissolved (in law), in limited circumstances and too only on the strength of evidence led by the parties, it said. Allowing the appeal filed by a wife against dissolution of marriage, a division bench of justices Saumitra Dayal Singh and Donadi Ramesh was of the view that even in «granting the divorce on the strength of mutual consent, the learned court below may have dissolved the marriage between the parties only in the event of that consent continuing to exist on the date of the order being passed».
