World Economic Forum (WEF) official said. The Centre for Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR), a platform of the WEF, launched the space technology programme in India last week to forge global collaborations among various stakeholders as the private space sector takes wings in the country. «India is seen as a role model, a lighthouse for smaller, aspiring space nations, which also look to India for support. This is something the WEF would like to facilitate, an exchange between large and emerging space nations in the interest of growing the space sector overall in an inclusive and responsible manner,» Sebastian Buckup, member, Executive Committee, C4IR told PTI in an interview. He said there was immense interest among entrepreneurs keen on leveraging the space sector.

Saurabh Gupta, Group CFO, Dixon Technologies, says “there’s a $10 billion opportunity in IT hardware for India. $10 billion worth of IT hardware products are imported into India. So, it is a large opportunity for import substitution and if India is able to do a good job as an industry, if you are able to generate that operating leverage and cost competitiveness, in a few years, yes, it can potentially get exported from India as well.” Gupta also is confident that achieving a growth rate of 35-40% annually should not be a challenge over next few years. The Postal Life Insurance scheme, a policy first introduced in 1884, has grown at 14.5% year-on-year so far this financial year—in terms of premium income between April and February. Donald Trump came a step closer on Friday to reaping a major windfall from his social media firm after investors in a blank-check acquisition company approved a merger currently worth about $5.7 billion. The deal values Trump's majority stake in the company that holds his app Truth Social at about $3.3 billion. Shareholders of Digital World Acquisition Corp (DWAC), the special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) that plans to list Trump Media & Technology Group on the stock market through a merger, voted in favor of the deal on Friday. While the next step would be for the deal to be completed next week, its future is fraught with uncertainty. Digital World's former CEO Patrick Orlando and former Trump business associates Andy Litinsky and Wes Moss have separately sued to ask for more shares for their previous work on the deal.

India and Bhutan on Friday upgraded their partnership to the next level with the conclusion of several memorandums of understanding (MoUs) on energy, trade, digital connectivity, space, agriculture and connecting the youth, even as Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a support of Rs 10,000 crore for the Himalayan nation over the next five years.
