Election social 2020 reports Interviews Relationships Headlines Elon Musk's daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson goes viral. Here's why the trans woman is in the news
Elon Musk's daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson has hogged the headline after she appeared in the Teen Vogue and talked about the details about personal life, as per a report. Versha Sharma, the editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue, said she had started to pay close attention to Vivian Jenna Wilson, the 20-year-old daughter of Elon and Justine Musk, around the time of last fall's presidential election, NYT News Service reported. «The more that we started to learn about her from watching her TikToks, or just following her online, we realized that she has a really powerful and interesting and hilarious voice and a way of cutting through the noise with humor,» Sharma said in a phone interview on Friday. Ella Yurman, a writer and comedian, was able to set up an interview with Wilson, leading to her first byline for Teen Vogue, which landed on the cover of a special issue. The interview spread quickly around social media as soon as it was published Thursday. In the interview, Wilson, who is a trans woman, discussed a wide variety of topics, including whether she is famous («I don't like saying that I'm famous because I want to do something more to deserve that fame»), her relationship with social media («I am the Queen of Threads»), her family («I do not actually know how many siblings I have») and her politics («I am constantly shifting and evolving»).

UPS Target Election students Universities rowing Tamil Nadu delimitation meet done with eye on '26 polls as DMK lacks achievements to highlight: Sitharaman
DMK was raising «emotional» issues like alleged Hindi imposition and Parliament delimitation as it had nothing to showcase as its own achievements before people during next year's Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu. Slamming the state's law and order situation, she said there was «lawlessness.» Sitharaman targeted the ruling party over the Anna University woman student sexual assault case. «What happened to that woman? Is the accused your party worker or not? Till date, what is the answer for the Kallakurichi incident,» she asked about the 2024 hooch tragedy that killed many persons. She questioned the DMK as to what has its government achieved 'distinctly' due to its efforts and wondered if it can mention any welfare measures brought to Tamil Nadu. «Nothing,» she said. «So take up emotional issues to hide your inability, corruption...at least these are old issues, now TASMAC (irregularities) has come up. Just like how scams used to come out daily during Manmohan Singh (UPA) government, of which DMK was a part. Such tales are happening,» in the current dispensation in TN, she told a media interaction.

Target security Election President Experts Golf Trump pulls security clearances for Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton
Donald Trump on Friday took away security clearances for former Vice President Kamala Harris, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and others in his latest move against his Democratic opponents. The Republican president, who has also revoked the security clearance for former President Joe Biden, defeated Clinton in the 2016 presidential election and Harris in last year's election. «I have determined that it is no longer in the national interest for the following individuals to access classified information,» Trump said in a late Friday memorandum that also included former Secretary of State Antony Blinken. While the revocations may not have immediate impacts, it is another sign of the growing political rift in Washington as Trump seeks revenge on his perceived enemies. The memorandum was issued hours after Trump arrived at his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf property for the weekend.

markets economy Sustainability Election Trade consequences For the rest of the decade, US is likely to underperform rest of the world: Jim O'Neill
Jim O'Neill, Former Economist, Goldman Sachs, says for the rest of this decade, it is quite likely that US equity markets are going to underperform much of the rest of the world. A more positive way to put it is, the rest of the world which was very cheap, particularly Europe and to some degree China, is probably going to outperform the US and of course that has already been the case in the short two-and-a-half months of 2025 so far. While the period between now and April 2nd will probably see some near-term recovery of the dollar, O’Neill does not think that the combination of what the US is trying to do is at all good for the sustainability of the dollar and he thinks this time next year, the dollar will be a bit weaker against major currencies around the world. We are talking at a time when nobody knows what is coming. All we know is that American markets have reversed and there are fears of a genuine slowdown in the United States. Investors are moving out of the long dollar trade. What is the big headline of March 2025 for financial markets? Jim O'Neill: As I have discussed with you in December, you have to be very careful of a very strong consensus when some of the underlying factors are not so clear-cut and I was quite sceptical on the immediate euphoria of Trump being elected as this was going to further accentuate so-called American exceptionalism and the reality that we have seen over the first 60 to 70 days the US is not exceptional.

UPS Provident Fighting Election country rights Bihar polls months away, Congress calls for implementation of women's reservation law
The failure to implement the law will bring out women workers on streets in Bihar and other states, she said. Suggesting political motives behind bringing the law for women's reservation, Lamba said the delay in its implementation was akin to betraying the women of India. «The BJP government has been in full majority since 2014, but the women reservation law was passed just ahead of the 2024 elections. Why is it not being implemented? This is our next question to Modiji. »Why women, who form half of India's population, are deprived of their rights to participate in the assembly and Lok Sabha?" she asked while addressing the media after Geeta Patel formally took over the reins of Gujarat Pradesh Mahila Congress.

UPS Election Justice cover consequences Courts SC fixes April 16 for hearing pleas against appointment of CEC, ECs under 2023 law
Supreme Court on Wednesday fixed April 16 for hearing a batch of pleas challenging the appointment of the chief election commissioner (CEC) and election commissioners (EC) under the 2023 law. A bench of Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh fixed the date for hearing the pleas after advocate Prashant Bhushan said the matter is listed at number 38 and is not likely to reach for hearing during the course of the day. Bhushan requested an urgent hearing of the matter, saying it goes to the root of democracy and the issue is covered by the 2023 Constitution bench verdict. Justice Kant said the court understands all these arguments but a lot of urgent matters are listed every day. «We will fix it on April 16, so that the matter is finally heard,» the bench said. Bhushan, appearing for petitioner NGO Association for Democratic Reforms, said the matter involved a short legal question — whether the 2023 Constitution bench verdict should be followed for the appointment of the CEC and ECs through a panel involving the prime minister, Leader of Opposition and the Chief Justice of India or the 2023 law, which excludes the CJI from the panel.

Target BLOCK Action Election Doge Department International Judge blocks Elon Musk's DOGE from more USAID cuts, cites likely unconstitutionality
Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) likely violated the Constitution by dismantling the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), indefinitely blocking DOGE from making further cuts. The ruling requires the Trump administration to restore email and computer access to all USAID employees, including those on administrative leave. However, it does not reverse firings or fully reinstate the agency. In one of the first lawsuits directly targeting Musk, U.S. District Judge Theodore Chuang in Maryland rejected the Trump administration’s claim that Musk is merely an adviser to President Donald Trump. Citing Musk’s public remarks and social media posts, Chuang found that Musk has “firm control over DOGE.” He highlighted a post in which Musk claimed to have “fed USAID into the wood chipper.” The judge warned that USAID’s ability to fulfill its legal obligations had likely been compromised. “Taken together, these facts support the conclusion that USAID has been effectively eliminated,” Chuang wrote in the preliminary injunction.

Washington has been pushing for a full, 30-day ceasefire as a first step towards a wider settlement of the grinding three-year-old war. But in a 90-minute call with Donald Trump on Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin refused, insisting that any such deal would be contingent on the West halting all military aid for Ukraine. According to the Kremlin, Putin has already ordered his military to pause strikes against Ukrainian energy targets for 30 days. The highly anticipated Putin-Trump call also resulted in the announcement that Russia and Ukraine will exchange 175 prisoners each on Wednesday.

markets economy Election Trade Experts War International Is the US headed for recession? Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and White House allies debate the economy as Wall Street signals trouble ahead
Historically, trade wars have proven economically corrosive. The 1930 Smoot-Hawley tariffs worsened the Great Depression by slashing international trade by 65%. While Trump’s team insists today’s globalized economy is more resilient, experts caution that modern supply chains are deeply interdependent—a single tariff can disrupt industries worldwide. As the 2024 election looms, the stakes couldn’t be higher: voters grappling with inflation may sour on “America First” policies if pocketbook pressures mount.

Extreme Election students Justice show country politician TMC MP Saket Gokhale demands Bharat Ratna for TN Seshan
Chief Election Commissioner TN Seshan, saying he upheld the independence and dignity of the Election Commission. Raising the issue in the Rajya Sabha through a Zero Hour mention, the TMC leader said Seshan was the 10th chief election commissioner and he redefined the way the Election Commission of India (ECI) functioned. «Seshan was a fiercely independent election commissioner. His famous quote 'I eat politicians for breakfast' showed that he worked without fear or favour and upheld the independence and dignity of the Election Commission,» he said. Giving reasons for his demand for Bharat Ratna for Seshan, Gokhale said that his strong image gave independence to the ECI. «Today the election commissioners are appointed directly by the government with a majority vote of Prime Minister (Narendra) Modi and Home Minister (Amit) Shah on the selection panel. Neither the Chief Justice of India, which is the judiciary, nor the Leader of the Opposition, which is the legislature, have any say in the appointments,» he said.
