Max healthcare acquires 64 pc stake in Jaypee healthcare at an enterprise value of Rs 1660 crore
Max Healthcare on Friday announced the acquisition of a 64 per cent stake in the Jaypee Healthcare, the company informed the exchange in a filing on Friday. The company also proposed to acquire the remaining stake of around 36 per cent through option agreement. «The Company, as strategic partner under the aforesaid arrangement, shall enter into an agreement to acquire around 64 per cent equity stake of JHL within 30 days of NCLAT order. The company proposes to enter into option agreement for the acquisition of the remaining around 36 per cent equity stake,» said Max healthcare.

WhatsApp voice calling for businesses, GenAI integration, click-to-WhatsApp ads are the next big disruption which will “turbo-charge” the platform’s growth in India, Nikhila Srinivasan, VP Product Management at Meta told ET. After disrupting the SMS channel, WhatsApp is piloting calling functionality for large enterprises, which could cause a channel shift from IVR telephony currently used for customer services. “We look at it differently than traditional calling, and, by the way, calling is something which business users have been seeking from us for long,” Srinivasan said, explaining that WhatsApp users will be able to make outbound calls to customer service agents of businesses in the context of already active chat.

India and the UAE have inked a pact that provides a framework for giving services for operation and maintenance of nuclear plants in the emirate. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Bhuwan Chandra Pathak, Chairman and Managing Director of the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), and Mohamed Al Hammadi, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) of the UAE.
