Blue chip cryptocurrency prices are on the front foot on Wednesday as US yields and the US dollar fall and US equity prices rise on a raft of weaker-than-expected US survey data.

Crypto exchange Bitstamp will discontinue staking services for customers based in the United States. In a message shared with Cointelegraph, the exchange announced the ending of Ether (ETH) staking as of Sept. 25.

On July 14, developers of the $1.5-billion Chinese cross-chain protocol Multichain confirmed users’ worst fears. The protocol’s CEO, identified only as “Zhaojun He,” was arrested by Chinese authorities in Kunming on May 21 after months of repeated denials on official communication channels. Simultaneously, investor concerns were heightened by the Federal Reserve's July minutes suggesting possible interest rate hikes.
