Six months ago, his younger brother was murdered, he told reporters. «Delhi people never witnessed such times of chaos and Jungle Raj all around. Anybody can murder anybody. Aligarh: Teenager dies of heart attack during sports practice, fifth such case this month
Aligarh died after suffering a heart attack while practicing for a school sports competition on Friday. Mohit Chaudhary, a Class 8 student, had completed two rounds of running with his friends before collapsing. His friends immediately informed his family, who rushed him to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, doctors declared him dead upon arrival, a TOI report stated. Mohit’s neighbor, Virendra Singh, shared that the boy had been passionate about running and was preparing diligently for the competition scheduled for December 7. “The boy’s father had died in a road accident in August. Mohit and his mother were living with relatives. He was passionate about running and was eagerly preparing for the competition, hoping to make his mother proud. We often saw him practicing rigorously, determined to secure first place at the competition,” Singh said. This tragic incident follows another heart attack death in the region. On Saturday night, an 8-year-old girl named Diksha Kumari from Lodhi Nagar passed away after experiencing severe chest pain at home. Her family said that Diksha had been practicing for her school’s annual function, set for Sunday. “Diksha was excited about her dance performance at the annual function. She would often tell neighbors, ‘Please come to watch my performance,’” her uncle, Virendra Rajput, said. He added that Diksha was healthy and had no prior health issues.

Landmark climate change case opens at top UN court as island nations fear rising seas
climate change and help vulnerable nations fight its devastating impact. After years of lobbying by island nations who fear they could simply disappear under rising sea waters, the UN General Assembly asked the International Court of Justice last year for an opinion on «the obligations of States in respect of climate change.» Any decision by the court would be non-binding advice and couldn't directly force wealthy nations into action to help struggling countries. Yet it would be more than just a powerful symbol since it could be the basis for other legal actions, including domestic lawsuits. «We want the court to confirm that the conduct that has wrecked the climate is unlawful,» Margaretha Wewerinke-Singh, who is leading the legal team for the Pacific island nation of Vanuatu, told The Associated Press.

Bitcoin may crash to $60K, predicts 'Rich Dad Poor Dad' author Robert Kiyosaki
Robert Kiyosaki, author of best-seller Rich Dad Poor Dad, has made a bold prediction about Bitcoin, forecasting that its price could “crash” to $60,000 before eventually surging to $250,000 by 2025. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Kiyosaki expressed his views, stating, «Bitcoin is stalled short of $100k. That means BTC may crash to $60k. If and when that happens, I will not sell. BTC will be having a sale. I will buy more.» He emphasised that the current price of Bitcoin is less important than accumulating more of the cryptocurrency during its corrections.

Nitish Mittersain on buying Trinity Gaming, initiating gCommerce & more
Nitish Mittersain, Joint MD & CEO, Nazara Technologies, says India-first novel approaches are needed. If e-commerce can be integrated into gaming, that can deliver relevant opportunities for shoppers to buy what they want while they are engaging with the games, that could lead to a very interesting and new monetisation model. With the whole India stack opportunity emerging with platforms like ONDC, a lot of initiatives can be taken for such innovations. It is a concept now. Nazara is starting to deploy it in the Q4 of FY25, which is Jan to March and they will see how that pans out over the next year. The latest acquisition that you have made is Trinity Gaming. It cost just around Rs 24 crore. What is the acquisition strategy going forward? Have you earmarked a certain amount that you are looking at deploying, and certain capabilities that you are looking at adding? Nitish Mittersain: It is important to understand that Nazara operates the M&A flywheel at two levels. One is what the parent entity does, which is areas that we want to enter. But also, many of our subsidiaries are cashflow generating companies, accumulating cash, many of these are asset-light businesses which do not require to deploy a lot of cash for organic growth and therefore, we help our subsidiaries also learn our M&A playbook and help them deploy.

Excise policy case: Delhi HC asks ED to reply to Manish Sisodia's plea
Delhi High Court on Monday sought the Enforcement Directorate's response on a plea of AAP leader Manish Sisodia challenging a trial court's order taking cognisance of a chargesheet filed in a money laundering case linked to the alleged excise policy scam. Justice Manoj Kumar Ohri issued the notice to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and fixed Sisodia's plea on December 20, when AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal's similar petition is also listed for further proceedings. The former deputy chief minister sought the high court's direction to set aside the trial court's order on the ground that the special judge took cognisance of the chargesheet in the absence of any sanction for the prosecution of the former Delhi chief minister, who was a public servant when the offence was allegedly committed. Sisodia is out on bail in the case.

Politics a 'sea of unsatisfied souls': Nitin Gadkari
Nitin Gadkari has said politics is a "sea of unsatisfied souls" where every person is sad and aspiring for a higher post than his current position. Life is a game of compromises, compulsions, limitations and contradictions, Gadkari added while speaking at the launch of a book, titled '50 Golden Rules of Life', in Nagpur on Sunday. Whether a person is in family, social, political or corporate life, the life is full of challenges and problems and the person should understand the "art of living" to face them, the senior BJP leader said. The minister recalled a programme he had attended in Rajasthan where he said, «Politics is sea of unsatisfied souls, where every person is sad...the one who becomes corporator is sad because he did not get the chance to become MLA, and an MLA is sad because he could not get a ministerial berth.»

Is it time to start buying the fear and volatility now? Prateek Agrawal answers
Prateek Agrawal, MD & CEO, Motilal Oswal AMC, says if we see more drops this month, it’s likely we’ll witness a bottom formation. There’s some positive news to highlight. The GST collection figures were solid. Although the GDP data for Q2 didn’t meet expectations, it’s clear that mining and electricity were the two sectors that dragged it down. The slower growth in those areas was mainly due to improved monsoon conditions. As we move into Q3, we can expect to see better numbers. There’s definitely a sense of optimism around. It has been quite a yo-yo kind of a market. The excesses in the market are over, is it time now to start buying the fear and volatility? Prateek Agrawal: That has been our thought for some time now. Typically, we have seen that a 5% to 6% kind of a correction is a good correction. And buying comes in. This time around, we saw intense selling in the month of October. November saw a reduction. Now, if this month sees further reduction, chances are good that the bottom formation that we are talking about happens. There is some data to cheer about. The GST collection data was good. While the GDP data for Q2 was lower than expected, very clearly there were two spaces which pulled it down, mining and electricity.
