Warning signs for Donald Trump: MAGA grip weakens in key strongholds as President's own pollster sounds the alarm on fading support
Donald Trump carried by landslide margins just months ago. In the 6th District, which Trump won by 30 points in 2024, Democratic candidate Josh Weil, a local teacher, now trails Republican state Rep. Randy Fine by just 3 points according to a March poll from Trump’s campaign pollster Tony Fabrizio. No duty reprieve despite 'productive' Donald Trump-Mark Carney call
Donald Trump and Prime Minister Mark Carney on Friday had a phone conversation that both men described as productive, although the Canadian leader said Ottawa would be imposing retaliatory tariffs next week as promised The call was the first contact since Carney won the leadership of Canada's ruling Liberals. He has called Trump's tariff threats a betrayal of a once close economic and security relationship. «It was an extremely productive call, we agree on many things, and will be meeting immediately after Canada's upcoming Election to work on elements of Politics, Business, and all other factors,» Trump wrote on Truth Social. Trump's tariff announcement is expected on April 2. Ottawa has made clear for months that it will impose countermeasures. The US and its northern neighbour have long been close allies and trading partners. But relations deteriorated after Trump upended the relationship with tariff threats and repeated comments about annexing the country. US inflation, consumer spending up

Budget travel gone extreme: Woman fakes being pregnant to avoid airline baggage fees. Here's how she did it
Airline baggage fees have long been a frustrating issue for budget-conscious travelers, leading some to find creative ways to avoid extra charges. One such traveler, Grace Hale, took an unconventional approach by pretending to be pregnant to bypass Ryanair’s luggage fees on her flight from England to Scotland. Hale, a 20-year-old from Dallas, Texas, was flying from Stansted to Edinburgh and found herself unable to fit all her belongings into her carry-on. Determined not to pay the hefty baggage fees, she came up with an unusual solution. «It’s ridiculously expensive if you want to take a bag on a Ryanair flight, so I just get the carry-on option and shove everything inside,» she told What's The Jam.

US ups the ante against Bangladesh's Muhammad Yunus regime; asks it to follow the “rules of human rights”
extremism in Bangladesh under the Muhammad Yunus regime. “Fortunately, we have an administration and a secretary of state who is completely committed to diplomatic resolutions, to face-to-face conversations with our friends around the world,” a US state department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said on Monday in reply to a question on Bangladesh army chief’s warning of an imminent extremist attack on Bangladesh as well as unlawful imprisonment of journalists under the Yunus regime. “We expect every country, certainly Bangladesh and others, to say the least, to follow the rules of human rights and to be cognizant and fair regarding the behaviour and what their own citizens expect from their government. So, I think that’s a north star for any nation,” she said. Last week, US director of national intelligence Tulsi Gabbard had expressed her concerns over attacks on minorities in Bangladesh and is understood to have had detailed conversations with Indian officials on the Bangladesh situation. Foreign minister S Jaishankar on Saturday said the government is working on various mechanisms to draw the attention of Bangladeshi authorities on the issue of atrocities on minorities.
