ET Mutual Funds Explains: Want to know how many years will your investment take to triple? Use Rule 114
mutual funds tells you in how many years will your investments take to double, while Rule 114 helps you know in how many years will your investments take to triple. In this rule, an investor takes the number 114 and then divides it by the investment product's rate of return to achieve this. In other words, in this rule you divide 114 by the rate of return to find out the number of years. For example, if with a 6% return your investment amount will take 19 years to triple. Tripling your money might look like a long-term goal, but understanding this rule can help an investor set goals and make smart decisions.

Mumbai property market continues record-setting spree with best-ever May
record-setting spree with the best-ever May performance driven by brisk sales activity and high demand, even amid higher mortgage rates and increasing property prices. The country’s commercial capital witnessed more than 11,917 property registrations during the month, up 21.3% from a year ago. The performance led to the state exchequer fetching revenue worth over Rs 1,029 crore through stamp duty collection, up 23.5% on-year, showed data from Inspector General of Registration (IGR) and Controller of Stamps, Maharashtra. “India's economic expansion and optimistic future have significantly enhanced homebuyers’ confidence in acquiring property, which has resulted in robust business activity in the industry. The sector is performing well on all key metrics including sales momentum, new developments, and price growth, and Mumbai property market undoubtedly remains the top performer,” said Deepak Goradia, CMD, Dosti Realty.

Indian stocks tend to reward investors post polls, history shows
Indian stocks have turned volatile ahead of election results due next week, but if history is any guide the outcome makes little difference to long-term investors. The S&P BSE Sensex Index gained in the six-month period after voters’ verdict in each of the last five elections, giving a median return of over 11%. While the market has mostly priced in a victory for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s party, market participants expect his party to better their previous seat tally of 303 seats to extend stock gains.

F&O stocks: Infosys, BHEL among 5 stocks with long buildup
Open interest indicates that bulls are likely to dominate the following counters. In Friday’s trading session, the following five stocks witnessed a build of fresh long positions. Let us first understand how this conclusion is reached whether the stock has seen a buildup of fresh long position or not. When the stock prices move up and open interest on the counter also moves upward, it is taken as a sign of a long buildup. The signal is considered more reliable if the volume on the counter has also seen an increase.

Lok Sabha Elections: Is the kaleen rolling out for Apna Dal's Anupriya didi in Mirzapur season 3?
Mirzapur, a district made famous by an OTT series, has never seen an incumbent MP win a third term. Anupriya Patel, the sitting MP since 2014 from Apna Dal (Sonelal) and a part of the NDA, is determined to break this streak. At 43, she faces a strong challenge from Ramesh Chand Bind, a 50-year-old who switched from BJP to SP after being denied a ticket in his home constituency, Bhadohi. The Mirzapur parliamentary seat includes five assembly segments: Chhanbey, Mirzapur, Majhawan, Chunar, and Marihaan. While the fictional character "Kaleen Bhaiya" belongs to the reel world, real-life carpet traders in the region are looking for a representative who can address their business issues. Rajesh Kumar, vice-president of the All India Carpet Manufacturers’ Association, noted that although the «one district, one product» scheme has helped build the Bhadohi-Mirzapur carpet brand, the industry still lacks adequate support. He told TOI that recent years have seen the removal of incentives and the introduction of more regulations, which have hurt the business.
