Dr. Saurabh Sethi, a Harvard and Stanford graduate, recently urged his followers to eliminate three surprisingly toxic items from their bathrooms immediately. In a viral video, he highlighted common everyday essentials that, if neglected, could pose serious health risks. He specifically pointed out toothbrushes, razors, and mouthwash as culprits that need urgent attention. Dr. Sethi began by listing the “three worst bathroom items” that should be discarded without delay. Topping the list was the toothbrush. He revealed that a staggering 75% of people continue using their toothbrushes beyond the recommended three-month period. Over time, toothbrushes lose up to 30% of their cleaning efficiency, and worse, the bristles become a breeding ground for bacteria, potentially harming oral health. The second item on his list is dull razors. He stated that dull razor blades cause 10 times more skin irritation. He urges everyone to replace them after just five to seven uses to avoid skin damage and infections. The final common washroom item that he warns everyone of is the anti-microbial mouthwash. He claimed that according to studies, such mouthwash can harm the beneficial bacteria in the mouth that can affect the balance of the gut microbiome.

markets FIVE RAI reports travelers cricket Champions Trophy: David Miller backs New Zealand after ‘not ideal’ semifinal scheduling
David Miller said his team’s hop to Dubai and back ahead of t h e i r Champions Trophy semifinal defeat to New Zealand in Lahore was “not ideal”. The tangled scheduling of the event came into question as Australia and South Africa both had to fly to Dubai from Pakistan ahead of the semi-finals. South Africa were there for less than 24 hours before jetting back again without playing a game. Australia stayed and lost in the last four to India. The haphazard scheduling was a result of India playing all their games in Dubai after refusing to travel to Pakistan. “It’s only an hour and 40 minute flight, but the fact that we had to do that was not ideal,” Miller said after South Africa lost to New Zealand on Wednesday by 50 runs. South Africa made what was ultimately a wasted trip soon after defeating England in Karachi on Saturday. “It’s early morning, it’s after a game and we had to fly. Then we got to Dubai at 4:00 pm. And at 7.30 am we had to come back. It doesn’t make it nice.

Greg Foran will step down in October 2025 after five years leading the airline through a turbulent period marked by the COVID-19 pandemic, global supply chain disruptions, and ongoing engine maintenance challenges. The airline has started the search for his replacement. Foran, a former Walmart executive, joined Air New Zealand just before the COVID-19 pandemic began. He steered the company through border closures, component shortages, and the grounding of aircraft. He also oversaw a retrofit programme for the airline’s Dreamliner fleet, which is expected to be completed by end 2025. Foran’s departure comes as the airline grapples with a complex operating environment, including intense competition from Australian rivals Qantas Airways and Virgin Australia, and the impact of New Zealand's relatively small domestic market. The airline's recent financial performance reflects these challenges, with an 18% drop in first-half profit reported in February 2025.
