Indian Biogas Association (IBA) has called for the implementation of the odd-even vehicle rule in Delhi NCR to address air pollution and promote a shift toward electric and compressed biogas (CBG) or natural gas vehicles. This suggestion aligns with GRAP 4 measures, which enforce the rule when the air quality index (AQI) exceeds 450. Currently, GRAP 3 measures are in place as the AQI remains in the «severe» range, according to the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM). IBA Chairman Gaurav Kedia, in an interaction with PTI, emphasized the potential benefits of the odd-even rule. «We recommend implementing the Odd-Even Rule for Petrol and Diesel Vehicles in the coming months so that a good impact can be seen for the air pollution levels in Delhi, and subsidy on EVs and CNG/CBG vehicles, as this will compel the citizens to shift to greener fuel alternatives,» he stated. Naxalites were killed and two security personnel injured in an anti-insurgency operation in Chhattisgarh's Bastar region on Saturday, a senior police official said. The gunfight broke out at around 8 am in a forest in north Abujhmad near the borders of Narayanpur and Kanker districts, while a joint team of security forces was conducting an anti-Naxalite operation, he added. The operation included personnel from the Border Security Force (BSF), District Reserve Guard (DRG), and Special Task Force (STF), he stated.

However, after three months of no progress, he demanded his money back, only to face threats and hostile behavior from the accused. Patani stated that Shivendra Pratap Singh, someone he knew personally, introduced him to two others, Diwakar Garg and Acharya Jayaprakash. The suspects allegedly claimed to have strong political connections and promised to secure a high-ranking position for Patani, such as chairman or vice chairman in a government commission. To lend credibility to their scheme, they introduced an accomplice posing as an “officer on special duty” named Himanshu, further convincing Patani of their influence.
