Lattice Semiconductor (LSCC) saw its shares slump over 8% in after-hours trading Monday after the company’s FQ4 revenue and Q1 guidance both missed analysts’ expectations.

Suzlon has secured a third order of 204.75 MW from Jindal Green Wind 1 Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Jindal Renewables, further accelerating the Low CO₂ Steel revolution in India. This partnership is also now Suzlon’s largest commercial and industrial (C&I) order with a cumulative capacity of 907.20 MW, the company said in a press statement. Earlier, Suzlon secured two orders to power Jindal Steel’s plants in Chhattisgarh and Odisha, adding 702.45 MW of wind energy.

Suzlon Group on Wednesday said the company has secured an additional wind project of 302.4 megawatt from Jindal Renewables in Karnataka. In October, Suzlon had announced securing a 400-megawatt (MW) wind power deal from Jindal Renewables Power. «Suzlon and JSP Green Wind 1, a subsidiary of Jindal Renewables, have expanded their partnership with an additional 302.4 MW wind power project in the Koppal region of Karnataka,» the group said in a statement. The second order brings the total capacity from Jindal Renewables to 702.4 MW, making it Suzlon's largest-ever commercial and industrial (C&I) order from a single customer.

Gainwell Commosales, India dealer of Caterpillar heavy equipment, on Wednesday acquired TIL Ltd (formerly Tractors India) and infused Rs 120 crore into the Kolkata-based construction equipment maker that includes Rs 70 crore for subscribing a preferential issue of equity shares. Gainwell, the Kolkata-headquartered capital goods manufacturer with presence in the mining, construction, energy, defence, railways, and heavy equipment sectors, plans to invest Rs 1,000 crore over the next three years with an aim to become a $1-billion company by 2028, a senior company executive said. The acquisition of TIL, done through group entity Indocrest Defence Solutions Pvt Ltd (IDSPL), is a strategic move to strengthen the company’s position in the heavy equipment manufacturing industry. A new six-member board of directors, headed by Gainwell chairman and managing director Sunil Kumar Chaturvedi as chairman and MD, replaced the previous TIL board on Wednesday. “The new management of TIL has devised a comprehensive two-year plan to revitalise the company that includes introducing new generational products as well as engineering and technology to refresh all its existing offerings,” Chaturvedi said. TIL’s product portfolio comprises a wide range of mobile cranes (rough terrain, truck cranes, industrial, and pick-n-carry cranes) lattice boom crawler cranes, reach stackers, and container handlers. The company also makes custom-made and application-specific defence equipment. Gainwell will use a mix of debt and equity to raise funds for its ambitious expansion plan.

Suzlon Energy witnessed a surge of over 4.4 percent on January 5 to ₹40.60 per share on NSE, propelled by the company securing a new contract for the development of a 225-MW wind power project from Everrenew Energy Private Ltd.
